this legit feels like watching a time capsule, if this was released back in 2013 you'd have had a smash hit. quality stuff

If they Released it back in 2013 they wouldn't have any Official VA Audio for the Twin Peaks Scene.

That was the scene I had the most fun putting together. I was originally just going to have the medic’s voice lines reversed like Demo’s, but I tried doing it how it was done in the show, with the reversed syllables creating sentences, and the effect was just too good to not use.

This magnificent, work. This classical tf2/gmod animation from 2010 make this even better. Simple story but so sweet one. You deserve more rate and subs.

2:14 wheres the theme song from? Its giving me some reference vibes.
@Jackster743 Жыл бұрын
The song is All Time Low's cover of Blinding Lights by the Weeknd. The sequence itself is not supposed to be a reference to any one thing, but I wanted it to give off the feeling of a 90s or 2000s made-for-TV Halloween movie like Halloweentown or Mostly Ghostly. (Getting the spooky effects on the word 'Haunted' just right was a pain in the BUTT)

I absolutely love how you've captured the classic machinima style from the early 2010s. It feels like I'm reliving my childhood all over again. As someone who also wants to make classic style GMod machinimas, I have a question. Since your videos have fairly long runtimes, do you plan them out before production? Do you write scripts or draw storyboards, or do you just wing it? Since I don't have any experience, I thought asking you these questions could really help me.
@Jackster743 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I’ve had a lot of fun making these, and that 2010s style is what I’m going for! I try to do a lot of planning before I start animating a video. It saves a lot of time later if you are able to put as much detail as possible into a script, so when you go to film it, you remember what exactly it should look like. I’m pretty slow when it comes to these things, but this Halloween video took about a week to write, a week or two of filming and editing, then a few days to add in the sound effects, music, and do some last minute reshoots. I was genuinely working on the title scene up until a few hours before I uploaded the video. :P There are moments where things change while filming, like the bit where Heavy knocks over spy and the camera. He was originally just supposed to knock over spy, but I forgot to disable collision on the camera after I reloaded the save. It ended up being a funny moment, so I kept it. TLDR; Plan almost everything, but always keep your eyes open for ways to add a joke or refine a moment while filming. I hope this helps you! I hope you do go on to make some animations, we need more people doing it!

I'd say this takes place after Hefty Heist, since he gets Kicked out at the end of it. Edit: Also the Bag of Sandviches. Edit 2: Also the Dead Medic.

I’m sorry, I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re referring to. A lot of those cars came from the mod “Garry’s Mod on Wheel” so I would suggest looking there if you’re after a specific car. The rest just came from other Valve games, such as L4D and HL2.
