Just tipping my toes in the woods racing scene, but how you spot those hot lines and take them so quickly and confidently is mind blowing. Also was the delayed start intentional?
@IRBB484 Жыл бұрын
Scanning the trail far ahead of the riders in front of you helps to find the hot lines. I miss a lot of them along the as well! Instinct and confidence helps too. As far as the start, I flat out blew it. I would have been glad to have gotten out front and pushed for a better overall. It made for some good video though. It’s hard to know when your bike actually starts with all the other bikes next to you. The 2 strokes always fire sooner than most of the big bore 4 strokes. With that being said, you must be very conservative when you grab a hand full of throttle. A split second too soon and it’s a total flame out. I must ensure my bike is completely started before hittting the throttle. Thank for the comment and best of Luck to you.
@JohnHowerton1373 жыл бұрын
Good job. Hats off to your fitness, that bike is a beast in the tight stuff. I ran over my tongue just watching. That’s some pretty tough passing in there with how bumpy it was, hard to get creative with the lines. Commit... Bump, bump, “Oh, Hi Tree!” 🤣

Can’t remember last time I have annoyed 1.5 hrs of video that much! What a smart ride. Makes me miss it but I think it’s just because you make it look easier than it really is. Don’t miss hurting for 3-days from all the late race braking and acceleration bumps!

Great video! There are a few technical sections there, but the hardest part is definitely threading the needle through traffic. Some scary passes in the woods! Howie's Adventures that’s good to hear! I was a moto guy back in the day as well. I love riding in the woods. It’s more of a endurance thing and you really need to make good line choices in the wet season. Moto is usually rehearsed (many laps around the same track) woods is processing the trail as you ride it for the first time while trying to be fast and conserve energy. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!
