Basharat Shafi (Late) was the pioneer of modern Burushaski poetry, he gave the language a new recognition by playing with the words, conveying the message of love, empathy, unity and cultural affinity.
His work will remain as a credible citation for the Burushaski language and literature, and young writers will keep on getting inspirations from the work of the great Burusho Poet.
