I cant get this to work and my best guess at this point is that the rf signals are simply too low. Did you use a low noise amplifier when you recorded the original wav file? If you could give a dropbox link to download that wav file I think that would be very helpful for a lot of people in verifying everything working before replacing the file with an SDR board as most of us are doing. Great content, looking forward to it!

Hi Zac. It's been a while, but I will try to dig out that file for you. No LNA, just a simple I/Q recording using my Perseus receiver.

It's receiving an I/Q data stream from a file.

If you just replace the WAV file source with a downsampled I/Q stream from an SDR like RTL-SDR, it's all the same.

@@VE6EY why not simply build a Receiver, like I finally did. Simply works, no file rubbish. Receivers don't use Files. They work off an Antenna.

Paul Francis you are so rude! Show the man some appreciation for the great work he did unlike you just wasting oxygen and complaining! I find it useful! If u dont just move on or maybe have some balls and post a video of how to do it!

@@paulfrancis8836 think of the possibilities though with a playback... You can do a capture then do years of processing with any recovery and filtering you want. Wanna tweak a design to catch the weird signal that happens once every three weeks next time? Just get a decent capture of it and wail away on it. Most decent listening stations will do a capture constantly, so that they can analyze the spectrum later. IMHO, you're missing out if you don't capture wave files.

@@Real_Tim_S But a Receiver first has to pick up the signal from an antenna, then save it as whatever file you like. Alls's fine, except the Receiver is Missing. People want GRC files as Receivers, .. and sometimes Transmitters.
