Pepper Mint. Jack o Lantern: Very strong, high damage. With pepper mint, this thing is a beast. Spear Mint. Pokra: No need to explain here, right? No? Didn't think so. Contain Mint. Sap Fling: This guy is underrated. The stalling is really good, and combinding this with a Winter Mint family strategy is awesome. I think Cran Jelly is second tho. Winter Mint. Ice Shroom: This is in my opinion the best plant in the game. It gives an overpowered boost to plants like Winter Melon, and Winter Mint is very good with Ice Shroom, and if you use Winter Melon with this, you are unstoppable. Ail Mint. Nightcap: Immortal, stupidly powerful poison, and can kill up to Brickheads at lvl 1. And like many other plants, Ail mint makes this thing unfair. Fila Mint. Magnyfying Grass: I know it may cost a lot of sun to attack, but as someone who has Enlighten Mint+Sun shroom, Sun production is no problem for me. Appease Mint. Pea Vine: The who reason to even use this family, without this, Pea would be kinda weak. Reinforce Mint. Holly Barrier: Mints are not allowed, but if they were, the mint here would take the W obviously, but Holly Barrier has Great Knockback, and Spamming this thing over and over makes the zombies cry. Bombard Mint. Explode o Vine: 10 second recharge to do a DOUBLE CHERRY BOMB PLANTABLE ON OTHER PLANTS!?!?! I think everyone should agree here. Conceal Mint. Dragon Bruit: Very good poison, and an overpowered upgrade to the already great Dusk Lobber Enforce Mint. Rhubarbarian: Litterally can destroy an entire lane in seconds. Enchant Mint. Imitater: Use it with Chilly pepper, and you can nearly infinitely freeze the whole board if you have a good sun production. Arma Mint. Stickybomb Rice: Spamming this thing is unfair. Overkills everything. Enlighten Mint. Sun Shroom: Cheap, easily spammable, high sun production, couldn't live without it. This is my list, I hope to see people agree with me a lot, and I hope we disagree so we can yell at each other in the comments :)

fire pea is a lot more accessible than jack o lantern, doesn't have downtime, cheaper with a lower recharge, doesn't have to be placed in the front to do damage, and also scales insanely high with leveling

tbh i think draftodil is the best containmint plant. cheap, fast recharge, can briefly stun and can insta kill imps, flying and shrunken zombies if they get hit. it’s basically a peashooter that shoots blovers with a slightly weaker primal pea ability.

it's a killer when paired with impear on penny's pursuit, especially during last stand levels since impear is 0 sun and you can spam them (unless they fixed that already)

i'd say guard shroom is the best reinforce mint plant as you esentially get 8 chompers for 200 sun with the fastest bite time in the game AND as a bonus you can literally double plant food, it's just such a versatile and useful plant and blockoli has nothing on it

Guard-shroom is very decent because of the regular one can replicates Mini-shroom in adjacent lanes. Mini-shroom was very useful for the most part that it capable of retrigger the plant food effects on the plant host, making it very useful and....pretty unbalanced I guess.

For Enlightenmint, solar sage is an amazing insta and sun producer. She's like potato mine but with -50 sun cost (yes, she gives sun on being planted), fast recharge and can also be planted on water. For armamint, I think sticky bomb rice is much more op. Melon pult kinda sucks NGL. For Enforcement, I'd say headbutter lettuce. He's just bonk choy but better. For wintermint, ice-shroom is the best plant. It's an absurdly powerful melee plant that somehow powercreeps pokra (btw best spearmint plant).

Eh not really, I think it was fine after the first nerf, 525 sun is a bit much but it's still pretty good, unlike a few others that were nerfed to hell, i.e. Winter Melon, Primal Potato Mine, Solar Tomato

Imo Explodonut is definitely the best bombardmint plant. If you think about it, it's a Cherry Bomb that costs 50 sun, recharges in 10 seconds and can stall Zombies for a long time as well. Idk what the devs were smoking when they made him.

Winter Melon is a pretty key plant in PVZ2 modeing since most creators consider this plant the precipice of power, no plant should outclass Winter and plants that will be nerved to be on the same level as Winter at most, quite an interesting dichotomy tbh. Like in Alterverse the only nerf Winter got was just making its recharge slower, it's not an OP plant, but a powerful plant, there is a difference.

Bean sprout gets countered by so many things. Also bean sprout can't attack backwards, and gets outclassed by pokra by a long shot It's sun cost doesn't help much due to the existence of enlighten-mint and gold bloom It also isn't very viable for penny's pursuit and arena He's still S tier in my heat for being a silly face :>

My Solar Sage is lv3 and she’s my main sun producer. I don’t need to worry about sun or sacrificing a lane to sun producers anymore. I’ve collected a good amount of great seediums these past few years but solar sage was the biggest surprise for me I think. The closer a zombie gets to my house, the more sun it will give me when I ultimately insta-kill with solar sage. She’s by far the best sun producer in my mind. Not to mention lv3 isn’t crazy unattainable or anything. Did I mention she’s 0 sun…

pepper mint is lava guava,spear mint aqua vine and heath seeker,contain mint is a tough one. But if I had to pick, I would pick draftodil. For ail mint, nightcap takes the cake. Appease mint is easily pea vine,bombardmint is grapeshot and esccape root,I agree with the conceal mint though,arma mint is appla mortar,reinforce mint is guard shroom,fila mint citron,enlighten mint is toadstool,enchantmint is caulipower,winter mint is ice shroom,and last but not least, tiger grass for enforcemint.

I’m gonna put my list here before I watch the vid just to see how big our list comparisons are, I’m kind of curious. Edit: I’m writing my comparisons as to compare them for your choices to see how different they are, I’m really interested on the plants you chose and I respect your choices as well (except Shrinking Violet, Tile Turnip is better, sue me XD), just wanted to write my takes for the most broken plants as I played this game since Wild West was considered the most difficult world lol Fila mint: E-Pea (Spread damage go brrrrr) Comparison: Same choice Reinforcemint: Infi-nut (Insta wall for all lanes, also Regen and revive effect. All rise for Space Johnny) Comparison: I chose Infinut as I believe it is so much better than Blockolli (or whatever it’s called) Space Johnny can heal itself and the ability to create an entire defense instantly is hella broken. The best part is, you only need one Space Johnny and one (or more) plant food to defend your entire garden. Place some cold snap dragons adjacent to space johnny and you’re all set! Bombardmint: Primal Potato Mine/Explode-o-nut (And noooow I explode) Comparison: Same choice technically Armamint: SkickyBomb Rice (Stalling 3 zombies in adjacent lanes and dealing small area damage is really freaking good, also has a lot of good combos) Comparison: Same choice Containmint: Thyme-warp (I’d give it to blover but it only works if you have reinforce-mint, Thymewarp is it’s own thing and it can save you in a lot of situations if you really need it too, being able to use it in every level now is a big upgrade too) Conparison: Yes, blover has great combo game, but Thymewarp synergizes with basically every type of strategy. Blover only combos with a few plants and that’s it, I agree that Blover is broken as hell, I just prefer Thymewarp since it’s more fun and has more variety. (Also, I don’t believe that Sring bean’s nerf would’ve changed a thing, spring bean genuinely sucks. You want to push all zombies back? Just use reinforcemint :/) Spearmint: Laser Bean (…I don’t want to give any f***ing appreciation to Pokra, also laser bean is powerful as hell and also free so f*** off Pokra) Comparison:…. It’s technically the same but I’m not gonna give 2 f***s for pokra ruining the game entirely… Peppermint: Ghost Pepper (Yeah fire peashooter is good but have you ever heard of torchwood? Also Ghost Pepper is an amazing instaplant) Comparison: I chose Ghost Pepper cause it is a really strong cheap instakill option, also as I said before, Fire Pea gets severely outclassed by torch wood, you don’t even need fire plants to beat ice age, fire peashooter is just a repeater really. Enchantmint: Tile Turnip (Not even close, if I explain why, this comment section would be as big as the Declaration of Independence) Comparison:….. hooooow??? Okay I get it, Shrinking Violet is great and all, shrinking zombies is amazing but arena would NOT be the same without tile turnip. I will die on this hill, I strongly believe that if the level up system didn’t exist, Tile Turnip would STILL be the strongest plant in the entire game. Pvs2’s entire gimmick is the plant food effect and that ability is hella strong. It makes all plants more powerful than they would be. What better way to make every plant more broken than to make a plant based around that entire mechanic? Tile Turnip is basically MANDATORY if you want to reach high scores in arena or being able to beat Penny’s Pursuit UNDERLEVELED. Tile Turnip is absolutely BUSTED and I still stay baffled at how everyone basically underestimates the guy. Modern Pvz2 would not be Modern pvz2 without tile turnip. I’d say that Tile turnip is even stronger than Pokra herself and that b***h can kill infinite bucketheads. Not to mention that shrinking violet is a gemium plant so you wouldn’t have them early game most likely, Tile turnip is basically free and since they are a free plant, they are easier to level up by collecting a ton of far future piñatas. I will die on this hill from hell to back. I refuse to believe that Tile Turnip isn’t the most broken plant in the entire game. Wintermint: Wintermelon (Big boy damage, slow effect, area effect, free plant, what more can you ask?) Comparison: Same choice Appeasemint: Torchwood/Peavine/MegaGatlingPea (…. I seriously couldn’t choose between these three, srsly wtf?) Comparison: Same choice Alimint: Impear/Nightcap (Impear is really good because of being able to combo with Draftodil, otherwise, nightcap takes the prize *definitely not being biased*) Comparison: Same choice technically Enforcemint: Squash (Cheap, reliable, big boy stomp) Comparison: I only chose Squash because it’s a gemuim plant so you’re able to unlock it earlier. I gave it a better ranking than Rhubarbarian as you need seed packets to unlock that thing. Concealmint: DuskLobber (It’s free, it deals massive damage, decent in arena, spiky plant go brrrr) Comparison: As you said, it’s a one on one battle between Dusk and Shadow Pea, I chose Dusklobber cause it is an alternative to Shadow Pea that works great in arena and it is also a free plant. Enlightenmint: Sun Shroom (A basic sun producer that grows up quickly and gives you 75 sun fast for only 25 sun? Yessir!) Comparison: Gold bloom is amazing don’t get me wrong, but 75 seconds of recharge is extremely painful, also sun shroom can produce sun just as fast. Have you ever tried paring up a sun shroom with the enlightenmint? It basically feels like cheating and it is JUST as placing a Gold Bloom. Also there are a lot of alternatives to gold bloom as well. Solar Sage, Solar tomato and even enlightenmint are great alternatives to use your seed packets on instead. I was an Imitater Gold Bloom connoisseur for a long time, but even I have to admit that there are WAY better alternatives than Gold Bloom, it’s just that Gold Bloom is the easiest to use.

As much as people glaze Lightning Reed, I can't imagine many would consider him the best Fila-Mint plant, as even the biggest stans would likely admit E-Pea is a flat upgrade; the only one I really had to fend off was Magnifying Grass.

I went against this idea for a long time since new ones keep getting added, but those are only seediums nowadays, besides the fairly recent change to Kiwibeast from premium to gemium they're pretty much unchanged, so it's a possibility. I never understood the hype around rhubarbarian. Sure it can one shot everything but jalapeno pretty much did that in the first game and nobody cared. Also if there's a big enough gap between groups of zombies or if the zombies already have a plant in front of them, it will just sit there doing nothing.

It doesn't just one shot normal zombies it also one shots arena and penny pursuit hard mode zombies, also the problem u provided doesn't even matter that much all u have to do is just plant the rhubarbarian in front of ur plants and any oncoming zombies are gonna get either one shot or stunned for a decent time

The thing with Rhubarbarian is that it is effectively a Jalapeño that lasts for 16 seconds. Even for zombies that can't be killed instantly, Rhurbarbarian will stunlock them, making him a great choice against gargs as well.

@@Winter-Moons-was-taken ye but if there’s a zombie getting all up in your business, you’d have to make room for rhubarbarian and then have that tile be useless until it runs out, while with jalapeno you can just place it anywhere on the lane and you’re sorted Also I was informed today by a friend that is a lot more experienced at the game than me that it can actually miss a zombie if the zombie is moving fast enough, it sometimes just jumps over them. He described it as a janky jalapeño.

Why not imitater instead of shrinking violet? It's probably the definition of p2w in pvz2 as it has quite the unique abillity which also happens to be good since u can use it with very good plants like primal potato mine, teleportato, caulipower, explode vine, gold bloom and even shrinking violet itself and more, so I don't get ur take unless imitater wasn't allowed. Also draftodil is arguably better than blover for a few reasons
