This is the perfect pop song, the perfect work of art. It feels like a warm kiss given by the girl you love, or like a hug given by someone who loves you so much. It's a song that gives me the desire of living inside of it forever in a sweet eternity. And that is what true art achieves. I really feel grateful that this song exists

Indeed. And for all of the mythology of "Grant and Amanda", never forget this was propelled by Lindy and Robert. After all... two ordinary guitarists can only do so much, but an optimistic r/section ?

Sunday afternoons listening to the "Turn it Up" show from BBC Radio Sussex and this gem of a song comes over the airwaves. Next Saturday I have a copy of the gatefold 2 disc 7" from TV & Radio in Horley and the rest as they say is history.

this was the 1st song i listened to on the radio when i was in 3rd grade. i "found" my mother's radio on the window sill next to the ironingboard. i turned it on: Oprah, not for me, static. nope. "your hands are tired, your eyes are blue." Holy mother of what the heck?! is this song about me? This is great music. The second song was Smoky Sings by the Stranglers, and then some song by ABC. 🎶☮️🖖🎶

This song made me fall for music when i was in the 3rd grade of elementary school, i found my mother's radio and fiddled with the buttons and dial. opra, yuck. Dumb talking. static. "your hands are tired, your eyes are blue.🎶" i was like "wow. are they singing about me? My eyes are blue literally. and pressing Those buttons made my hands tired. Then Smoky Sings came on. and something else, and then Girlfriend In A Coma by the Smiths and i was hooked on the radio. it was the mid-1980's by then. it was a good time for music.☮️🎶🖖🎶

It rains for days So you stay inside and lock your door Cryin' all the time Crying for, you don't know what for You say, you're undone by his kiss But don't you think That for once in your life It should be like this Your hands are tired Your eyes are blue I'm keepin' you right here Right here, right here Right here, right here Whatever I have is yours And it's right here Climb aboard my pony Now, you've been thrown Get back in the saddle And let it be known That you're made of steel But don't you think that For once in your life He should be made to feel Your hands are tired Your eyes are blue I'm keepin' you right here Right here, right here Right here, right here Whatever I have is yours And it's right here I know you're thirty two But you look fifty five You walk around With your eyes wide open But you're barely alive You say, you've lost your touch But don't you think That for once in your life He could walk without a crutch Your hands are tired Your eyes are blue I'm keepin' you right here Right here, right here Right here, right here Whatever I have is yours And it's right here Right here Right here, right here Right here, right here Whatever I have is yours And it's right here
