I think it is smarter to use kids help on harder questions. Then when player is on their own, easier questions are left.

What are you talking about? “If Linda makes a dozen cupcakes and Mated eats 5… How many are left?” It’s a 1st grade math question. That’s as simple as “Math” gets? Maybe the wording isn’t perfect but it is 12-5=7 ?

Because if you take 5 cupcakes from a dozen of cupcakes there are 7 cupcakes left, not 7 DOZENS

I THOUGHT THE 5TH GRADER'S CORRECT ANSWER IS THE RIGHT ANSWER! NO MATTER IF IT'S MISSPELLED OR NOT!! BUT FOR SOME REASON FOR THE $175,000 QUESTION, YOU NEED TO SPELL IT RIGHT!!! Can someone please tell why this question is different from the others?

The "Taut" one? I think it's because "Taut" is pronounced different from "Taft"

Because taut is a totally different word. The rule is probably that proper nouns (like someone's name) has to be spelled correctly.

Trident was a son of Poseidon. Also, the kids were wrong on Hades. Hades was not the Greek God of Death, that was Thanatos. Hades was the Lord of the Underworld. Thanatos was also, a child of Nyx, the Primordial Goddess of the Night. Hades looked after the dead and determined the fate of every soul that crossed over into the Underworld.
