This looks like a flower viewing ko, if white finishes it, she gets more or less a 5 points yose benefit, if black finishes it, he gets the whole group, so instinctively: on with the ko! I haven't played Go, but I enjoy studying it. So, I was wondering you could help me get past the idea that maybe Q9 doesn't do enough at the moment. I just finished talking with a coworker about the idea of playing a move before you have to. I'd say I'm torn between P13 and N19, but P13 already has a bunch of black influence in the immediate vicinity, So, I am ready to be wrong in choosing N19 lol

Q9 allows black to pressure white's bottom left group and make big cash at the same time (even if white invades the bottom right with his next move, that stone will be surrounded and white slaughtered)

Ah, I see what you mean. I definitely admit I wasn't looking at the whole picture for the move, and that's why I didn't see what it would do besides put a piece on the board.
