Cleveland Indians - Colonel Kit Coyote takes the Gopher Indians to Cleveland so that they can meet the Cleveland Indians in the hopes that they will stay there. The Gopher Indians also get familiar with city life, where their antics end up annoying some of its citizens.

Native Americans can see the these Gophers in a positive light as heroes who always get the better of the U.S. Cavalry and the palefaces. Y'know? The Washington Redskins football team had to change it's name to the Washington Senators because of special interest groups think the word Redskins sounds racially offensive. But I read on the internet quite a while ago that American Indians want to the name to change back to Redskins. Apparently the word doesn't bother them.

Baseball really is a metaphor for life. The Cubbies really needed this win and those Cleveland Indians put up such a severe fight. This Go-go-Gophers episode probably foreshadowed this baseball series. Probably from about '67. Also mimics and parodies the past as of then. Talks about home, and about peace and justice. A lot to comprehend here, go go godzilla!

This show challenges a lot of my current views, but they always manage to make the ( GIANT QUOTATION MARKS ) "GoPhEr" ( MORE GIANT QUOTATION MARKS ) Characters the actual heroes of these stories.
