All I saw was cruelty by a human to an animal. She played with it and laughed, thinking she was cute and funny. That animal was scared and fighting for its life. That's entertainment? I don't think so. This one episode told me everything I needed to know about this woman, and I don't like it. Therefore, I'm unsubscribing. Find someone else to share your animal cruelty and what you perceive as entertainment.

In defense for Chai, she knows what she is doing. She is a native to Vietnam. If she wants to catch animals and keep them as pets she is feee to do that. Shes extremely skilled and intelligent, and cares for her animals. I recommend that negative people mind their own business please. Chai is kind enough to share her life and skills for us to learn and observe. Respect other people's cultures!

Everything raised on this farm is is to be eaten, including the Guinea Pigs. Guinea pigs raised in South America are all raised free in homes and eaten just like we eat chicken. The key is are they cared for well before they’re slaughtered. Bamboo Rats are not at risk, or endangered, so raising them for food is fine.

Yes, it will become food. I wouldn't doubt that she will catch one of the opposite sex so that they will make babies.

Living in America is much different than where she does. I believe that her knowledge of her surroundings and ability to survive in a jungle type environment is amazing. She knows what plants to use to raise her animals and she mixes that with modern technology- such as what fertilizer to use, when to plant and rotate crops., etc. if we had to live as she does, I doubt seriously if we’d survive it. She has few tools, but uses them just like we would - without the use of power for the most part, and the power she does use, comes from the stream combined with a motor and some electrical wire…for lights. Who would know to dig as deep as she did to find a bamboo rat? What purpose she will use it for, whether as another animal to tame or breed more? But, she has made a pen for it of a marble-type material that it can’t chew through, so it’s my guess she will be keeping it for awhile-. Other cultures have different ways and their reasoning for doing the things they do is very different than ours. I think we need to respect that and give her a chance to reveal her purpose. It will be interesting to find that out. Thank you for letting us be a part of your life.

Definitely you are correct… She is one of the most creative, talented and beautiful lady. Her work ethic’s cannot be beaten! Her knowledge is astounding! I do not believe women from America could service! This also includes a lot of men! She has knowledge about planting, harvesting, foods to survive, she has created a home, easiest her animals! Its a good idia to ketch the bamboo rat, i herd u dont get much money for them though in open market. I do hope u went back out and at least fixed all that mees u made ketching the rat. Các vật nuôi khác đều lơn nhanh, khoẻ mạnh, nhất là đàn vịt, cúng lớn nhanh như thổi. Bầy cá Koi bơi lượn tranh ăn xem đẹp mắt. Trang traị của cháu đang tiến dần lên một tầm cao mới. Chúc mừng.

I really wonder how she knew when digging a several meter trench that there was a neighbor's rat at the end of it. And if she really ran away from him, it was probably because she longed for the freedom you took away from her again. It looked like she would be able to survive in the wild. That is a Bamboo Rat, not a mouse. A mouse is tiny compared to that. These look similar to the American Muskrat. It’s my understanding that these are eaten in your country, correct?

Hanging the poor rat by the neck, then poking and playing with him while he's choking is beyond cruel. If you catch them for food, fine. None of us needed to see the cruelty that you filmed for the whole world to see. Even "food" needs to be respected and treated well, until the very end. A thumbs down might help to stop this obvious abuse on video.
