Bottom line is the strength is a blessing and a curse. The contrast between her mother and Bong soon, is that her mother is inherently a selfish person, she is mentally and physically abusive towards her husband, and isn’t the best mother. In the way that I see it, when she says that it’s the best day of her life, she was referring to getting her powers back. But she didn’t get her powers back to save herself. No she got her powers back because she desperately wanted to save him. She was chained to a bomb but all she was thinking was saving him, making him go away. And when she gets her powers back she does save him. She doesn’t let him die. That’s why it’s her happiest day. She got to save the man she loves. He’s safe. And that’s all that matters to her. Or at least that’s how I see it. I may jave gotten too deep😅
