Go-Pods marketing director Taylor, his partner Shannon and two little boys, Leo & Luca, visited the stunning Waxham Sands Holiday Park in Norfolk recently.
Despite a torrential downpour on the first night and 35 - 40 mph winds throughout their 4 day trip, they had an amazing time and their Go-Pod performed admirably! They say that they slept better on the Go-Pods comfortable double bed (it’s actually slightly wider than a king size, but a bit shorter) than they do at home, and there was plenty of space for the four of them.
In their opinion, Go-Pods are the perfect micro tourer for young families, providing the perfect balance between ease-of-use and comfort. They were free to explore the stunning sandy beaches nearby during the day, safe in the knowledge that they had a cosy, welcoming base to return to of an evening.
Waxham Sands is a beautiful site located close to Horsey Gap, famous for the grey seal colonies that gather on the beaches throughout the year. Around 40% of the world’s grey seal population can be found in Britain, with many of them spending a significant amount of time on the idyllic sandy beaches in Horsey, Waxham, Winterton-On-Sea and Blakeney Point.
Part of the Lovatt Parks holiday group, Waxham Sands is a no-frills site with basic but spotlessly clean facilities. It’s perfect for connecting with nature - there’s no evening entertainment (though there is an on-site bar trailer and a selection of catering vans which rotate on a daily basis) so you’ll have to provide your own entertainment, but it really is the quintessential British camping experience.
There are 4 toilet blocks, a shower block, a laundrette and a well stocked shop. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and it’s clear that they really enjoy their work and are passionate about this area of Norfolk.
Taylor, Shannon, Leo & Luca will definitely be visiting Waxham Sands again soon.
Check out how they got on in this short video.
