Oh Kieu, you were like a child in a sweet shop when you were looking at all the piglets for sale at the market. It won't matter when you buy new piglets you will still have to seriously consider holding them temporarily, for a few week's in a temporary barn well away from your current large barn; as you cannot place your new breeding sows at risk. Earlier you kept the surviving 9 piglet's from the white sow in a small barn at an abandon farm close by. Is the separate abandoned barn still available for use as a quarantine barn for a few weeks to monitor a new batch of piglets where ever you purchase them from, to initially keep them separated from your new existing herd of pigs. I really think you have two options, 1. Find or erect a separate small barn to use for quarantine purposes. or 2. be patient for a few weeks until your sows get pregnant and produce new litters. You can then select 2 or 3 good sows from those litters to retain for breeding purposes and thus have a closed in house piggery without the need to purchase and introduce new stock to your barns. If you still want to buy a couple of piglets talk to your vet first and have him recommend a good safe pig farm/barn to buy pigs from. In the end just trust your judgement, you know good pigs and from observation can recognise a well run piggery. You are an excellent farmer. As many of us are saying, you made a wise decision. What you can do now is buy 1 or 2 piglets for breeding stock. If you can use your neighbors pen you can quarantine them for the 90 days neeced to be sure they are safe. Just make sure you wash your hands, after taking care of the quarantine so you don't spread anything. You have had good luck with the lady you purchased the market pigs from, go talk to her. Her pigs were clean and she was obviously careful who she sold her pigs.
