Clueless Lawdamercy Ruthless Depends on which instance. Sometimes if you don’t have the meter or assists to kill a character, it’s safer to snap them out and then snap them back in later. Because the opponent comes in from the air, they don’t have access to guard cancel, reflect, wakeup options or any grounded reversals. Basically, doing a snap mixup is safer and with better reward than trying to kill them on the ground.

It’s just a matter of judgement. GO1 May have made the wrong choice, but he probably figured if he couldn’t get the kill, it’s better to snap and keep the opponent on guard and without their assists, ability to guard cancel, and just like the other commenter mentioned the many wake up and other options. He could’ve risked it to try to follow up to get the kill on kid Buu, but he decided to play it safe which may have actually worked against him, especially if I’m thinking of the same instance you’re talking about.

Ven wrong. If you have the resources to kill a character, it’s always best to use them. But now the game’s defensive options are much stronger than last year’s, and snaps remove most of those options. So if you can’t kill, snapping is usually (not always) the best options.
