Even my kuldev is in Ponda Mahalaxmi Damodara (we call him Dambaba who is shiva❤️🙏 ) .. every year we visit Goa only for spritual purpose 🙏 Goa is a land of Shiva temple 🙏 you will feel his (Shiva's) presence very strongly in these temples.. it feels like they're sitting alive and watching you 🙏🙏 om namo bhagavate Damodaraya🙏❤️🔥

And there is no compulsion in Religion..different thought processes exist each other with harmony... Just like you found versus against idol worship...try to find versus which talks about idol worship in Dharma & you will find it... God is seen in many forms in Dharma & it is seen symbolically ...But Dharmic people understand that there is one param-atma (universal soul) & we all have an individual soul(atma)

The eye opener. My heart cries when I see goa now, back in the 90s it was a family place and more adhered to the history. Due to migrators from Delhi, Karnataka, Rajasthan and the worst Gujrat have degraded GOA miserably

Our ancestors are from Goa.Our Kuladevata is Shanteri Kamakshi, Kula dev is Ramanathi. Its now in Ponda. Our ancestors left Goa during atrocities of Portuguese, genocide and forceful conversion. Goa inquisition led our ancestors migrate to coastal Karnataka snd Kerala. U can find both konkani speaking hindus and Catholics in coastal Karnataka..

The entire Konkan Belt belongs to Konkani people. Kannada people came from eastern side of the western ghats. Kannad were just invaders like other rulers.
