Thanks for detailed update on NH66. We always plan to drive with family but mostly fear about the under construction of roads. Seems not better to drive a four wheeler. You vlog was crispy and fast. It was fun filled indeed as we watched vlogs of all the Three Musketeers! Take care!!

One suggestion to so called civil engineers: Who builds speed breakers on highways (that too like pyramid) speed breaker can cause accidents for speeding vehicles. Yesterday I came back from Goa and took NH66 all the way till JNPT exit, road conditions are good from Goa to Lanja except one bridge construction at Banda. Lanja to Sangameshwar is very bad only 30% road is good else work is going on everywhere, so better to take Oni-Sakharpa-Devrukh-Sangameshwar route. Then after Sangameshwar to Mangaon roads are good. Mangaon to JNPT roads are 50% ok in some places it's very bad (in Nagothane, Amtem, kolad). Traffic in Mangaon is bad avoid this by taking Pali-Khopoli road to expressway till kalamboli.

Try to avoid the old highway if you have smaller segment car. I went by my Grand i10 to Tarkarli last week. Wasn’t a good experience bcz of the bad patches in between the highway NH66

What you heard is true. There is a decline in tourism in Goa and lot of people are going to other Asian destinations like Bali, Thailand, Phillipines etc. as these are cheaper in accomodation and other things than Goa currently which has become very expensive. Expensive hotels, cabs, flight etc. and the infrastructure is in shambles which is better in countries outside. Also, the attitude of Goa police towards domestic tourists also is not that great and there is a sense of unwelcome hence there is a decline.

goa is gone. only tourism mafia. people prefer south east asia, same (even less) budget, better tourism. Goa missed opportunity to showcase what goa actually is. For eg. Bali, while promoting beach tourism also promoted their culture and local vibe.
