Every Friday I'm doing FREE Facebook & Instagram LIVE lessons at 1pm PST and I discuss several topics related to style. In this video I discuss having goals and aspirations in your career and life are good things. If I didn’t set goals, I wouldn’t have anything to get me out of bed in the morning. I’d never brush my hair, and I’d wear yoga clothes 24/7. Goals are good, but the problem is we only seem to focus on one or two areas of our lives. Getting paid (work) and getting laid (love). We work around the clock, swipe right, and get pissed when we don’t get results. My question for you is: How do you look? Style seems like a funny element to throw into this equation, but hear me out … If you were dressing the part would it help you land the dream job? (It certainly wouldn’t hurt, and I have tangible proof that it does help.)
I want you to incorporate style into your goals, and that is exactly what I am going to be talking about!

Look good, feel great - it's a strategy and in my opinion it works. Many call it shallow, but sadly we are judged by the way we look (especially in business) before we even say a word. Goal visualization works - your exams Les were spot on. Well done!

Reverse engineering my style just clicked for me as I am hanging up my kid's clothes! In the same way I buy his clothes a little bit too big so that he can physically grow into them, I should buy my own clothes for the person I want to become based on my business and personal goals! Light bulb!

This was a great video when you look good you feel confident and unfortunately especially women we are judged by the way we look and how we carry ourselves...it will separate you from the rest. I needed to hear this I been in a rut myself but I'm comming out of it and I will be revamping everything from my mindset to my appearance. Plus you will attract the right type of attention. Lauren I really am in need of help with my wardrobe I redirecting my career back into healthcare from being a sahm for awhile. Going back to college and entering nursing my style has really geared toward being a wife and mom at home lol.... I want to redesign my wardrobe with some business piece also with the comfy chic everyday running errands and toting around my 6 children also date night with hubby not to mention transitioning from through wls please help I know its alot but I have no clue where to start

Hi Lauren, First let me tell you that I love your videos. I study design in all it's renditions which informs my own business Kstyledesign. Your videos stand a notch above most style youtube channels that I have followed. I understand how fashion and design can elevate you and help you to achieve your personal goals. I would also add that using correct and polished grammar can have an equal effect in helping you to "move to the next level". In the most helpful and caring way I would like to suggest that you work on this. For example drop the s from anyways. Just anyway will suffice and will definitely sound more polished and educated. Also be careful when using sentences like "it fits perfect". Because perfect is an adverb in this instance it should be "It fits perfectly". I am the daughter of an English teacher so I know I obsess but truly just as fashion can elevate perceptions so can the power of precise English. Again if I din't think you were a major talent in the making I would not take the time to point this out to you. I hope you can hear it in the helpful way I intend.
