Explain why they are junk and why Goal Zero is better? I had a Goal Zero battery /solar panel system years ago and it did not last, support was less than stellar, that is my hesitation.

Every battery station is awesome for their respective uses. However, the larger the unit, exponentially the less solar comes into play. As we all know, solar power generation sucks for the short 12 hour possibly full sunny day. This unit requires a gas generator to recharge in order to power a house at night. For such a large capacity unit (for the price), it should include a 30A/240v port. There is no reason to spend double (buy two) to connect in parallel for that 240V capability. I absolutely love Goal Zero, and own many of their 12V Yeti's, but they I think they purposely missed the mark on the 30A/240V mark on this unit, so you spend twice the money on a second unit and the accessories to connect those units. Transfer switches are another waste of money. Just install a 30A/240V inlet to the panel to power the entire house, and be smart to balance the usage load upon the outage. I'd rather have two of these units with 240V, connected in series to power my house. Rather than two connected in parallel, for half the run time.

So this thing is over a 100lbs, I don’t want to tote back and forth in my van. can you change by alternator? I was hoping for an upgraded 1500x with slightly bigger battery and lifepo battery.

You can charge the Yeti PRO 4000 from an alternator. We would recommend checking out the Escape Drivable Ecosystem for Van integration! One of the benefits of Yeti PRO 4000 is the LiFePO4 battery. This allows for a longer life span, better functionality in extreme temperatures, and higher inputs and outputs but LiFePO4 batteries are definitely heavier than our Yeti X power stations using Li-NMC.

The 4000 definitely looks like a great system for large RVs, full time van people and great for home back up. Also the expand ability is great. 3000 watts of solar, wow how much space will the be on a camper? And price? I hope y’all fill the small guys wishes too!! It maybe Bluetti or Ecoflow for me.

On the 18min mark of this video, you mentioned the Yeti can be used in many scenarios including after an EMP incident. Does this mean it could survive an EMP blast on it’s own without any additional shielding?

When you remove the Yeti Pro to go camping, can the Haven still power off the Tank when an emergency exists? Based on what I have heard on this video, it sounds like a "no" and that a 2nd Yeti Pro is needed

If the Yeti PRO 4000 is removed from the Haven 10 transfer switch you would not be able to back up your home. The Tank Pro expansion batteries are unable to connect directly to the Haven without the Yeti PRO 4000.
