I first saw Goalball in the Sydney Paralympics, and sitting in the crowd as we all struggled to keep quiet during each play until a goal was scored was one of the most exciting and nerve wracking experiences I have ever had watching a sport. The roar of the crowd when a goal was scored was something to behold! I wish these athletes could hear that roar too.

I'd like to play it, it must be very interesting, but I think if I did this turn around before sending the ball, I'd probably lose any spacial notion I could have. 😂 Probably I'd end up sending it the other way, against my team.

It looks like to me that they are checking to see if the team accidentally score on themselves when they walk back to the goal. I could be wrong though.

They are goal judges - they are specifically there to watch that team closely to see any penalties or own goals
