Kandyachi Bhakri is a famous traditional Goan recipe made from rice flour and onions. The name 'Kanyachi Bhakri' is derived from the Konkani word 'kaano' meaning onion and 'bhakri' meaning a flatbread. The rice flour, onions and other basic ingredients are mixed together to form a batter. The batter is then gradually spread on a greased tawa to form a round shaped bhakri.
Onion Bhakri is a very quick and easy recipe. It can be eaten for breakfast, evening snack or consumed as a light dinner.
