Cricket legends from Antigua and Barbuda, including Sir Viv Richards, Sir Richie Richardson, Sir Andy Roberts, and Sir Curtly Ambrose, recently completed a UK tour as part of the Be Here campaign to promote their country's cricket culture. The tour covered 800 miles in England and Scotland over five days, meeting fans, dignitaries, and media. They were interviewed by top media outlets like BBC, ITV News, talkSPORT, Sky TV and The Times. The tour kicked off with a gala at Lords Cricket Ground in London, followed by events in Glasgow, Leeds, and Leicester. Sir Andy Roberts was honored at his former club, Leicester County Cricket Club, during the tour. The event aimed to showcase Antiguan culture and heritage and generate excitement for upcoming cricket events in 2024, including the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and other tournaments.
