Goat Rodeo Sessions (Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer, Chris Thile) | Talks at Google

The Goat Rodeo Sessions is an ambitious and groundbreaking project that brings together four string virtuosos: world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, fiddler Stuart Duncan, bassist Edgar Meyer and mandolinist Chris Thile. These artists -- each prominent figures in the music space independently -- have come together as a unique ensemble for this project. The music, including two tracks with female vocalist Aoife O'Donovan, crosses several different genres.
While visiting Google New York they performed a few selections from their new record. After the performance the group chats with Googler Lauren Carpenter about music and technology.

Tears of Joy! The conversation at the end is also worth listening to and mulling over. Chris and Aoife talking about how the lyrics for "Hear and Heaven" desire for "normal" and not "extreme". It is instructive on what the millennials actually desire and where the media is attempting to drive them. How the millenials are sidestepping the established heads of the "media" through technology. The differences between what is said and what was left unsaid are Interesting.
