Just to u I was wondering if fasting on sabbath makes God angry as we are not at rest.

We shouldn't be making ANY vows to the Father.

Ecc 5:4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. Ecc 5:5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

GOCC KC first of all the scripture you quoted was old testament. second of all the book of Matthew(new testament) says the total opposite. Now either the scriptures contradict themselves or the new testament is telling us to no longer do that. vowing and swearing are the exact same. Matthew 5:34-37King James Version (KJV) 34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: 35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. 36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

in matt 5:33-37 it was referring to lev 19:12 Lev 19:12 And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD. The next chapter in matt 6 :16 it speaks of fasting now we know according to numbers 30 fasting ties in with a vow. we see paul in in acts the 18 chapter make a Nazarene vow.
