Thank you for sharing Kevin. However, I can't wrap my head around the apparent test of God for people in for example Israel or Syria or Ukraine that are bombed every day. Why is their faith tested so much? Or people with chronic illness in safer countries. I find it so hard to find faith when you know death and decay is everywhere around is. How is faith in these situation just not naivety?

This is a profound question that many people have pondered. In the Bible, we see that suffering and trials are a part of the human experience. The Book of Job is particularly illustrative in this regard. Job was a righteous man who faced immense suffering, yet it was not because he had sinned but rather as a test of faith. Job's story reminds us that trials can happen to anyone, but through enduring faith, we can find meaning and strength. The New Testament also addresses suffering. In James 1:2-4, it says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." It teaches that trials can lead to spiritual growth and maturity. Romans 8:28 provides further encouragement, stating, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." While we may not always understand why certain things happen, we hold onto the hope that God is with us and working through all circumstances for our growth and ultimate good. In your challenges, may you find comfort and strength in His presence and promises. I also would like to note that the wars happening in the other half of the globe are done willingly by those individuals. Great question 🙏
