new subscriber here , from the uk , they were the first live band i saw live here in uk , in 2001 aged 15 . He was and always will be a legend , please react to faint live at rock am ring , by linkin park , the video is poor quality sound wise but its the most epic scream and vocal performance i have seen of theirs . Also qwerty is another one of there songs that i highly recommended.

It still hurts knowing Chester is no longer with us. I grew up listening to them and they made a huge impact in me. All Hybrid Theory and METEORA songs are my all time favorite, along with their side tracks/special collabs like Chester with Jonathan Davis "System" for Queen of the Damned movie soundtrack and X Ecutioners - It's Goin' Down (feat. Mike Shinoda and Mr. Hahn & Static X)

Chester was truly an incredible vocalist. To go from a rough screaming for 18 sec to a high pitched singing is so incredibly straining to your vocal chords. It was a miracle he could do that throughout his 6 month tour. Live version like AOL session is way better. You would not believe your ears.

It's a song off their 3rd album. Start checking out songs off their first two albums and you'll see why people fell in love with them. I suggest Breaking the Habit or numb. Their albums and styles change over the years so there is a LOT of different music from them. One album can sound completely different from the next

i think you have to start from their first album hybrid theory personally the best album ever. anyway their first albums are their best and heaviest then they start to change their style and make their music more melodic and less heavy. this is from their third album and it's from my favourite linkin park songs

Like this is a band whose genre you cannot specify they got it all... Great reaction. That was an amazing performance by Chester Bennington. My impression is, that (outside of his fan base) he didn't get enough respect for his talent. Only over time it became clear that he was one of the best vocalists ever. Therefore, unfortunately I have to disagree with your statment about them coming back. Without Chester, Linkin' Park will never be as great as they were. It's like with Queen: Great music, world class musicians, but without Freddie something will always be missing.

What I learned about Linkin Park in a year of listening to their music: Linkin Park is the most popular band in the world, their first album since 2000 is still the most successful in the world. Chester Bennington vocals, Mike Shinoda rap. Chester screams like a demon singing like an angel. Most of the music and lyrics of the first two albums were written by Mike, in the following albums Mike and Chester wrote the lyrics and then agreed with each member of the band so that everyone liked it. They were the first to combine rock, rap and electronic music to create a new genre of music. Their music is also emotional. You can often hear from their fans that the music of LP saved their lives, but the tragedy is that it failed to save the life of one of the vocalists of LP, Chester Bennington (died of suicide).
