God Cares About Funding Your Dreams! | Shawn Bolz

Shawn Bolz shares: God wants to speak about finances! For every destiny and purpose that God's given us, there is always a resource with the finances to accomplish it. When you hear from God, you start to see impossible tasks that you're called to, things you couldn't do in your own strength and because of that, it creates a faith gap. In the prophetic, you are going to speak about things that could not happen in the natural or your current circumstances, but would only happen in your belief in God that He could produce those things.
Hear my story of moving to Los Angeles to start a church....and we had very little support. We moved out of the faith that God gave us. The rent was insane, but we felt God wanted us to look higher. We found a house that we knew was the house God wanted us to have! The homeowner believed in us enough, that he let us rent the house! Then God provided the finances for the house! God sent us there and there was a resource for it!
When God speaks to us about resources, we need to partner our faith and take steps in the now. There will be faith, belief and traction with it and He will respond by giving us God resources.
I've encountered people who get a hold of the prophetic and it becomes a power conductor of faith, but also creates a desire for influence versus wanting to hear and see what God is doing right now.
There are seasons you will hear God about different things, don't exaggerate it....but dream big!
Finances are not evil! They help to give us a temperature for where our faith is.

I just recently got debt free completely because I felt God say that is the way He wants us. Debt is bondage and when we are free from it we then can help others out as well. Yeah I want this too. I just don’t see how I can believe for it though. It seems like if I want to own a house, then I should save up and buy a house, it’s not that hard. Of course, I live in Cali so I would move states haha. I just don’t see how I can “believe” God for something like that. I know it’s a lame response to say “I don’t see that in the Bible...” but I really don’t see how this principle is pulled out of the Bible. Interested for y’alls thoughts.

My wife and I are leaving in a few hours for our first mission trip to the Czech Republic. We feel called to ministry there and plan to move there full-time in a few years. We have a dream of establishing a Christian retreat center where people will experience inner healing, miracle healing, and encounter God’s love in a radical way. In some ways this seems like a delusional dream since less than 1% of Czechs are Christian. However we serve the God of all things possible. Thank you for this message. Thank you for this encouragement! I have a faith/food/fitness channel. I have been doing a faith training video once per week, and two weeks ago God told me to double it. He showed me that it was a promotion for being faithful with the once/week. About a year ago, I dedicated tuesday's and thursday's to serving Him, which I do through leading a Bible study and attending another one. I stay open on those days to whatever God has for me, including shooting videos for my channel or being there for friends in need. I'm a personal trainer and I train clients in their homes, so I do that part-time M W F. Every since dedicating this time to God, I have been tested through my finances. We are in the kiln right now. Please pray for me and my husband to have the endurance to persevere. I do believe that God will provide. I've been open to applying for jobs in the evening to make ends meet, but it seems like God is shutting those doors. I want to be obedient to everything He's calling me to do. I’m looking at a dream job where the salary won’t be enough to live off of and yet I feel such a strong calling to do it. It would also require me to uproot myself and move to a new city where I won’t know anyone. The work is at an NGO and it is grueling work but it is my passion and what I think God wants me to step in to and use my skills for. Having faith that, if I get and take the job, I will somehow have enough money to survive and tithe AND even thrive 😅

I have been a musician and songwriter since I was 4. For the last 20 years I have had to battle with Crohn's disease. It had stolen so many things from my life and my family in that time. It started when I was 17. Three years ago it got to the absolute worst it had ever been, I lost my job, I got severely sick, my daughter was diagnosed ASD, we received multiple eviction notices, and my father died suddenly at a relatively young age. It seemed like everything was crashing down on us. And I felt like the Lord was telling me to rest. I had been fighting this disease and everything associated with it. During the last three years we never had enough income to live on, and every month God provided more finances than we needed. We have been gifted months worth of rent money, cars, and the finances needed in every area of our lives. Last September I felt the Holy Spirit telling me that I needed to get a particular surgery done that I had been resisting having done since it would remove a LARGE portion of my bowels. But the Holy Spirit gave me peace about it. Long story short, the surgery got done and done supernaturally better than the doctor even had thought possible. During the months recovering from the surgery God has reignited my passion for music and for travelling. I have always been terrible at booking myself. I make calls, send out emails, put myself out there and would get nothing back. So God and I had a "talk" (it was basically me complaining to God that I couldn't do it, and Him insisting that it was what I needed to do). So I told God, "If you want me to do this You are going to have to make it happen." That was at the end of last October. Starting in November I have received phone call after phone call of people asking me to come lead worship at their church or event, and I even have a local recording studio that is recording two of my songs professionally mixed and mastered for FREE! TL;DR Here's what I would like prayer for: That doors would continue to open for me to share the music and testimony that God has given me, and that the finances/opportunity would come in for me to record a full length album, because I've always written music but since the surgery last September the songs have just been pouring out of me. Thank you for your ministry and your heart for the things of God. I love this channel!

I’m a worship leader in the Chicago land area and after Sunday’s service I received a prophetic word from two separate people, apart from one another, about God giving me 8-10 songs this year to record for an album that will be successful enough to free me up from my day job and to do ministry, full time. I couldn’t think of a greater dream to sow my faith into. I have a modest studio and am willing to do this on a shoestring budget. Thought it would be beneficial to share, thanks!

I've been a nurse by profession for 35 years. I'm 56 years old. I've a spirit filled Christian for 50 years. I'm near the end of a sick leave for a painful condition in my feet and I'm still waiting for manifestation of my complete healing. I'm also an artist and love to paint and I do that also but essentially provides little income. I feel I'm at a crossroads. I'm not sure what I should do now. If I leave nursing I need more income to provide for my family. My dream is complete healing, retiring from nursing and selling art. I need guidance.

As a child I had a strong fascination with attics. Well it returned two weeks ago. So long story short we are in a house that comes along with my Photography Studio that I've prayed to have a debt free studio and house. The rent houses God has provided us with are going to pay our mortgage. So I was in my studio and God was showing me a wall I am needing to put up. It's a genius idea which is how I know it's not from me lol! Then the very same night my husband looks in the attic of the house because we are getting it ready for appraisal. (Buying it from a friend it's a long story) Well he finds STACKS of drywall that I am going to be needing for the wall! Now I know there's gotta be some 2x4s out there some where for me! This whole journey of our promised land is one miracle after another. It would take a whole book to describe. God is my provider but only on projects that are his will! Last year I was straying a bit in my listening and yeah it wasn't funded....

I’ve been dreaming of a creative community space in my local area (here in Australia) for so long. Many times I have prayed over the plot of land I’ve felt called to and just have such a vision for it. It has a 100 year old farm house on it that is very rundown, but I can just see such vibrancy coming back to it - it’s yearning to be lovingly restored! The land actually sold to a developer a couple of years back but I can still see it being used to glorify Him in this creative space I’ve been so excited about all this time. Am I being delusional?? That's awesome! I'm here in Chicago doing that very thing right now. I've gotten together with 5 others and we've met for the past year and a half. Finances for our family of four to be able to move to Florida for my husband to attend Jesus School. Having retired a year ago from fostering babies and toddlers for almost 20 years. During that time we lost our home during the 2010 financial crash through no fault of our own. We were I suppose like so many others, casualties. However a five years ago we felt God speak to us about having our own place again. A place where He would bring folks to live with us for short periods of times so they can encounter Him personally as Father, some for the first time. That said as the years have rolled it’s been hard at times to hold on to the word and dream He gave us both. This word from Shawn is a timely help.

A couple months ago, there was a family in our ministry community that desperately needed a new van. There was a GoFundMe started for them and we really wanted to give but are in a tight spot with our finances and need a another vehicle ourselves 😄 But in that moment, the Lord spoke to my husband and said, "What if you gave them everything in your savings, and trusted me for the bigger vehicle that you need." So even though it scared my husband, he still did it. He obeyed the Lord, and a week later, a friend of ours said that he wanted to GIVE us his SUV! Just one week later!!! We're still blown away because every risk we take for the Lord, he comes back with something that blows us away and leaves us undone ❤️

Amen! This area has been one battle after another for the past few years - God has brought so much healing and growth to me through it though. Now I am a ministry student at Global Awakening, juggling school and work and being a single mom - God miraculously brought me into my house and then provided roommates to help cover the rent! The majority of my tuition was also paid for by friends and anonymous donations. I still have financial needs that are not fully met yet, and dreams from God that will require God sized faith and resources- but I know He is good and faithful and will provide! I have to come back and say that God aggressively placed a sermon you did at a church regarding the same story. During that time for recession all of the church members had jobs and a homeless guy not only had a home, but he was healed. The main thing that God wants us to do is align ourselves with the breakthrough. Believe that it's going to happen. That's what God was trying to teach me through the other video.

God told me to write a book and to start a home for recovered trafficked children. Both way outside my scope of experience. So yeah not sure how he plans to fund either of these. I’m retiring from the military inside of two years and graduating college in May. All I know so far is that he wants me to focus on school ,graduate, and then write the book. He’s laid out all the chapters over the last year and I’m starting it in March (will he done with classes). The house is just later. That’s all I know for now. But yes. We have a major God story of arriving at this current place we are renting. When we got here, I saw visions of people and heard God say, "You will enjoy this place, but it is not (soley) for you." Over the first couple years we've had people in crisis situations staying here, as well as a few events that have blessed people. The place needs a lot of work, specifically a barn where the upstairs has a stage and has crazy potential for a worship and educational venue. But it is presently unstable due to years of no one living here and neglect. I believe we've heard well, had some traction as far as fruit from the visions he's shown me and heard very strongly with confirmation to start a non-profit I now don't know where the line is between "I'm delusional" thinking that this way beyond me project is going to come to fruition, and "have faith and keep taking the small steps" for it to come to pass. I would very much welcome prayer and any wisdom through this. Thanks for all the wisdom you share Bolz Ministries!

I think its safe to say most times when we only know part of how the "thing" is supposed to work is when God works best. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Even in our financial weakness, He is strongest. While we have received the vision to bring forth the "thing", someone else may receive the vision to finance it. My wife and I are in full-time college ministry with Cru. We believe the Lord wants us to have the funding to be able to take our whole family (4 kids) on mission trips both stateside and internationally, to expose our children to those things, but we often have to say "no" to opportunities because of lack of funding. We are trusting the Lord to provide the resources we need to always be able to say "yes" to the opportunities He calls us to! We are also trusting Him for more prophetic people to partner with our ministry, who can speak the heart of the Father to us. Thank you for this, I have moved in faith most of my adult life with moving and finances and have moved to two different states that were the last places I ever wanted to live. Now God is guiding me to make a bigger move and I’m preparing to go to law school, financially, I’m looking to God to show me how it is going to come about but he provided for my bachelors degree in creative ways and I know He can do this again. I have been listening to Mr. Bolz now for the last several months and reading his books. His God anointed teaching has helped me see, get vested in, and believe for a new season of life. I love traveling, camping, and my dream after retirement was to live in, an RV, "That there's an RV Clark. Ain't she a beauty?" full time. My father got sick and after retirement I wound up buying a house near him in my home town, so I could take care of him. (2017) I started attending a church near my house and I learned about prophesy / dream interpretation, etc. and heard Shawn's name for the very first time. (2018) At the end of 2018, and being divorced for 24 years, I wasn't looking, but met a girl online in another country. I went to meet her in person. I went back at the beginning of the next year, married her, and lived there for 7 months. Came back to the states for a medical concern and have been waiting for immigration to process her papers. (2019) Currently, the dream to travel has been resurrected, but it looks different then the original dream. I see now I am heading into a new season of life where my wife and I travel, while I speak to groups in churches or organizations, while writing blogs at bradymarka.com and books, and living among "Van Lifers". My van design will give me influence among this community and my wife's baking skills will draw them in for conversations and the chance to love on them with God's love, and share Jesus. (2020) Shawn has taught me to love the "Van Lifers" in order to be respected within their community. God knew having a wife travel with me was "good" on so many levels. Shawn's teaching has taught me to get vested into this dream and to be ready. Now, I am learning to trust God to fund the dream. Thank you, Mr. Bolz for you, and your wife's faithfulness to God.

This is so encouraging! God has placed a dream and a strong compassion for my generation. I am believing God for resources to fulfill my calling as well as a core group of people to work with me and see the vision. Right now I’m in transition to become the youth pastor at my church, but my dream is to do even more. I want to start a youth ministry separated but sponsored by my church. I want to have powerful worship and prophetic messages that leave young people completely changed. I want this generation to feel the presence of God so strong and to be filled with the Holy Ghost. I’ve been a hairstylist for 15 years renting a chair from salons for the last 10 years. There are so many creative things I want to do with the most urgent thing that I’m walking in faith in looking for a salon to buy. I don’t feel excited about it because it seems like a huge task for me and overwhelming and I don’t know how to do it and don’t have much support around me. I have trouble sleeping and adding more to my plate makes me think will cause me to not sleep and move into worry and anxiety. Jesus lead the way. Wow, God literally just sent me to the parable of the talents this morning and I also made an appointment to see a house on Thursday that I feel like God highlighted to me. Thank you! A dear friend directed this to me! Thank you. My family and I are in a place where we are dreaming of a home now. We have been in a place where it’s been home for us. Our landlords who are missionaries have been renting to us at a very low price for where we live and are wanting to sale because it is a hot cake place to sell now. They also mentioned that they will not sale until we have a place that is bigger and that we cannot settle. We mentioned us buying the home and they said that would be settling. When we look at our debt to income and our resources the only thing we may qualify for is a condo. Our landlords said God is bigger. Then prayed for my spirit of poverty to leave. That this isn’t what God wants. They then said we want to bless you all financially but we can’t until we sale. So we are in a place of waiting. Waiting on what our home is, waiting on our debt being gone, and waiting on the Lord to provide this home. Our landlords have seen all the ministry we do within in our home but we are limited to just the summer months because our yard is big enough to host but our house is not. Trust me our summer months are short we live in Montana. My landlord said to us God wants more and he wants to give you more. We are trying to trust in these words, but are scared to believe in this. We keep asking ourselves why us? Lord what are you calling us to? So prayers for confirmation and prayers for the home he has for us, prayers that our debt can be supernaturally gone. Thank you!!!

I also have a calling to open a Church. And God tells me not to work and not to worry with sustainance. I have zero money to travel to San Francisco (city of my calling) and I live in Brazil. (I'm Brazilian). Nor do I have a greencard or permission (visa) to live in the U.S. So as you can see, this will be totally worked out by God. ☺️

I’m hosting a non profit event in the wedding industry on March 13th in Seattle. I started about 3 weeks ago and am concerned a little to have 500 brides be at the venue as it is a runway show but for vendors in the wedding industry. I’ve been on a journey the last couple years. All my life I’ve had a desire to live in Montana but didn’t know why. 2 years ago i struggled with severe depression and as I started to come out of that I decided I didn’t know what God wanted me to do but I had to do something different. So I decided if money was no object I’d move to Montana. Spent a few weeks researching Montana; I knew what was in my head but knew nothing about the state. A specific area became obvious, it was exactly what I had always dreamed of. As I was preparing to head to The Call in Cleveland Ohio I was talking to God and things got real. I yelled out “I don’t want Montana I want what You have for me!” As I cried out I said “I lay Montana on the alter I don’t want my desires I want Yours!” While at the call God reminded me of a word I had received years ago about helping to bridge the gap of the denominations of america. In that He revealed to me montana was His desire. 😭 since then it’s been a whirlwind with crazy encounters. Far to much to squeeze in a KZbin comment. For the first time in my life I have a love for a city. I’ve visited twice since then and have connected with a great church. The only thing holding me back is finances which God has promised to provide. Originally I felt that it would be 2 years and kept saying in 2 years I will move to Montana and God said if you keep saying 2 years then 2 years will never come. I thought, good point, and set the date July 1st 2020. As that date rapidly approaches I still have no clue how He’s going to provide but I’m pressing forward knowing He’s got this. I’ve heard your testimony in several videos now and it always encourages me as it’s like your reading from the pages of the journey I’m currently on. It’s exciting and terrifying at the same time.

After I finished my acting school some years ago, I didn`t start to work as an actress, because there were so many lies and bondages holding me back. Now I step out in faith that with god it is possible that I work as an actress and that he is not only healing me but giving me the finances to do so. Our family is currently spending our saving on medical bills for my mother-in-law’s treatment. But as I say that, through the process, God has been faithful to provide. The crazy faith part is in this season, God is telling me to finish recording my first album this year which will take about $6,000 to do. When our family is already having faith to pay these bills, God is stirring this dream in me and I could use prayer for wisdom and an increase of faith to believe He could provide for both of these needs.

God moved me to start a ministry 4 years ago called Into the Waters, and I see that He has led me to take small steps of obedience all along like you said in this video. He has had me be a tent maker working part-time 2 days per week while my funding grows. And for these first years it seems He has cared more about developing me through tests of surrender, suffering, and believing for daily bread. I have learned a great amount about myself and grown closer to Him as a result. I used to think I was a quitter, but after these first years I see God showing me that I am not. He is showing me my desire to stick with Him and showing me more of Himself and developing my heart for the “underdog”. It has been very humbling, but I see he has formed my heart to be more like Him in this process. God has miraculously rescued me multiple times and has/is bestowing favor. The ministry is growing and He is opening new and exciting doors. Please pray for me as I fly out next week to minister to a president of an international ministry who is transitioning to a new season. Please pray for the groups I will be leading in the coming months and for word-of-mouth to continue and increase group sizes to 20+ per open session. I am pressing in for the prophetic to increase through me as I minister in these sessions. Please pray for reach on social platforms as it is overwhelming to me. Thanks for sharing Shawn. I'm just really encouraged right now. Especially because I've gone through the process of getting super overwhelming words from multiple people for my life in creating business and community. It felt like it was just too big to carry, that it's made me just want to be mediocre and blend it. We are in Chicago building a space and community for creatives, leaders, and entrepreneurs. It's basically creating a place of healthy community, creating, and collaboration for people who wouldn't necessarily step into a church. And we're just doing the next steps in front of us like having our first event and had about 50 people show up, so pumped! It was a free event and we had people donate about $200 so far (I know it's not a lot, but excited that people would give anything)! And we came up with a plan to just do more events for the next 5 months to see if people actually got value out of what we're creating. It's been really nice to have small beginnings to grow personally and as a team. I'm really excited where we're at.
