I don't wish the Syrian people any harm (except maybe , the tyrannical regime) I know many are coming to Christ , and they are lovely people as a whole . However , having witnessed so much biblical prophecy coming true in one form or another , I'd like to be around to see prophesy be fulfilled regarding the fall of Damascus city when it occurs . Look at verse 7 of Isaiah 17, it is God that destroys Damascus.

But it also says the Ephraim which is the northern 10 tribes of Israel will be destroyed and that the glory of Jacob will fade. Jacob refers to Israel. This happened when the Assyrian army invaded the north nation of Israel and destroyed Damascus. This is past not future. Ephraim and Jacob refer to the 10 Northern tribes called Israel that opposed the nation of Judah.

The works of the Old Testament prophets is done. That's why, when Christ died the souls of many prophets and holy men (and only them) rose from the dead. Their work is done. The ground shook and broke to show a clear divide between the old and new. The Old Testament ends with his last words "it is finished".. A new history upon this divided ground began. The curtain tore, ending the temple, the law, and the Jewish high court. No part of the Old Testament applies to us.. we gentiles didn't even use it until the Catholics choose to include it into the Bible around 230 AD. "Scriptures" refers only to the holy works of Christian's - the New Testament or the words of Christ. So as Judaism was meant to evolve into Christian's - as the host to their adopted brothers and sisters.. and as Christ and the holy spirt took all they needed from the Old Testament.. why are we using it? It is finished.. Are the words of Christ, the good news, not good enough?

The King James translation does not use the word 'melt' for the city walls, instead it says kindle the walls, that's a HUGE difference. But one thing is certain, I have been saying for years that Israel will at some point (looking likely now more than ever) will launch a massive conventional weapons attack, against Syria, and Damascus will be wiped out (Isaiah 17:1). The Bible says that people will take the spoil from Damascus after this, so I have doubts the attack would be nuclear, because who would want, or take, radioactive spoil? It does say that once this happens, you'll see a massive war involving Gog and Magog (that could be Russia and Iran fighting back Israel for Syria, or even their own soldiers that get killed in the attack). I like the talks this preacher uploads, but I do think he can get a bit fear-mongering at times.
