I've never worked on something as difficult as this
like, this has 1804 frames. 1804 different drawings.
It's so crazy that it's finally finished, I've been working on it ever since September 2024, I forgot what life without working on god games is like. But it all payed off really well, this is by far my favorite animatic ever.

3:45 I love that you made Zeus' reaction to what Athena said to Hera visible because it helps a lot to understand why Zeus says after "You dare to defy me, to make me feel shame" because it's not only about Athena being able to convince all the other gods, it's also about her actively calling out Zeus for not being loyal and basically a terrible husband and overall king of the gods, who is supposed to be the best of all and have a very good image, and that goes away when Athena calls him out. It really helps understand the song better and the meaning behind why Zeus gets angry, it's not entirely because Athena won, it's because his own pride (get it? Pride is a damsel in distress) and powerful image shattered for a moment.

The bouncy finger tapping of Zeus, the fact that he towers over everyone and that the grits he makes with his hands are lightningshaped!!! Apollo and his cheerful "i don't actually have a horse in this race but yay performance time!!", the audience and their cameos (like hermes pulling aeolus out of the way!!), every single fight choreography and the different gravity of the characters. The fact that Hera smiles when she approves of Odysseus (something few animatics have) which gives it a little bit of a different vibe. And the slight weight to Athena when she is caught by Zeus hand. These are just a few of the things i noticed as i watched and that i loved!! wow this must have been a lot of work and it so very much paid off!!

Actually, it’s not beef. Athena was more of Medusa‘s hero. It’s called misconception that Athena Turned Medusa into the Gorgon cause Her actions in the temple that Athena was helping her because taking away her beauty was sort of her gift because to men it seemed like a curse, but to her it was a blessing

@ It's possible that that's one of the three Gorgon sisters, who in the oldest version of the myth were all born as monsters, I believe children of Typhon and Echidna but I'm not sure. Every version of the myth where Medusa is transformed by Athena is an adaptation of Ovid's version of the story, which he changed for zero reason other than his own authority issues, making the gods out to be much worse than previous writers had done. So no, in the original version of the myth, it's only beef between Medusa and Athena as Perseus received Athena's help to kill Medusa, who'd been a monster her whole life.

I do like Hera and her peacocks are just vibing throughout her entire part, that and how as Athena was about to deliver the killing blow the second she said "cheated" Hera stopped bouncing, she knew exactly where it was going even before the peacocks did which I find hilarious.
