This broke my heart, but I felt it so deeply. I’ve been raised in a Christian home, and growing up has made me hate religion so much because I see the pain it’s caused so many people. But it’s been two years since I gave my life back to Christ, and holy cow has it made life so much more purposeful. As I’ve read the Bible more & had fellowship with God, I’ve come to terms with the fact that: Christianity isn’t about following a list of rules. Jesus died so we didn’t have to worry about simply living by the “LAW” but we can be saved by His GRACE alone. We all fail, but His grace is what holds us, IF we accept Him as our Savior & live out our faith in Him. Thank you for sharing this song with us dude, I know it hurts, but I’m praying for you ❤

I will never be perfect and honestly. I am a worse person than when I was religious but if there's one thing I endeavour to be, is still a loving and caring person, someone who will go above and beyond for others. It's not easy, sometimes life, hell I get in my own way but no matter what issues I have with religions and certain ideals, if I can just have that unconditional love that I was taught to strive for in Sunday school, if I am able to get that someday then, no matter what else happens, I'll be happy.

Keep on praying to Jesus! Have faith. Had doubts too before encountering the Lord two years ago! I realized It's ok to have questions as long as they don't push you away from God. The purpose is to seek truth. My advice is to keep on praying to God to show Himself. I did before becoming born again and He showed me things I never thought of. Thru Jesus, prayer connects you to God. Also, search for answers through trusted online sources. I needed a sign, I got it. This song, this video. It hit me. Right now I am struggling for one year with my faith. I used to be leader of many people, I love that. I used to ministry, I love that. I used to have beautiful, deep, strong relationship with God, I lost that. I miss it so much, but somehow religion and people in church... destroyed me. If any non-believer is reading this now and questioning why they should go to church then - just to remind you, nobody is perfect. Absolutely nobody. But trying to be perfect needs to be confronted in love, not it hate. I used to be atheist, then came to God, because He reveled Himself to me in special way that I couldn't say that God is not real. It was strong, I was healed, so I know that He exists. So no, I didn't grew up in Christian family so I don't understand lots of problems which "christian kid" can have. But I really believe God exists. I am just broken by people, their opinions, postures, behavior. And I need to start talk about it. At the end - thank you.

My life is definitely not led by something someone thinks, but it hurts me when people are trying to be "super spiritual" with every answer they say without thinking that we are still HUMAN BEINGS. Powerful song bro! "Where's your righteousness?" Something I realized recently is that the Hebrew word for "righteousness" is the same as the Arabic word for "relationship". This means that in West Semitic, and probably also for a period of time in Hebrew, the word carried both meanings.
