How do we distinguish between God dreams and figments of our imagination or unspoken desires?

What about nightmares, which people suffer? Are they also given by God or is it one of the bad things, which are given by random evolution, which exists only for that?

great Jewish message from the Torah. But where are dreams revelations from God in The New Testament scriptures? if we are only teaching from the OT and believing this is how we interact with God we need to start doing animal sacrifices, building tabernacles and throwing fleeces out and seeing if they are wet in the morning and throwing sticks down to see if they turn into snakes as well…
