fun fact: when the main character pats his bicep it's actually a nod to japanese culture where placing a hand on your bicep or in this case: patting your bicep is a way of gesturing confidence or "I am strong" it's a localization issue when it comes to the states where holding your bicep and having your forearm at a 45 degree angle upwards is a gesture followed by a middle finger; very popular among latin american groups and various gangs henceforth: it can be considered offensive locally to the americas because of its associations to gangs and overall involvement of a likeness to a rude gesture just like how crossing your fingers in vietnam is a rude gesture!

9:17 How do you do the combo?

when you launch an enemy at a certain height, press back (left analog) + triangle to perform the shoryuken move, and forward + triangle for the launch kick. From what I can tell, as long as the enemies torso is above Gene's head, you can perform these moves on them. also if you don't know already, when an enemy is on the ground pressing forward + triangle will do a heel drop move that will launch them in the air slightly, and you can immediately follow up with another kick that launches them further by pressing triangle after you do the heel drop. Gene also has a free reverse sweep with updodge+ triangle. they are all extremely useful.

Raj daa You know you can edit your comments, right? Also, he's on a Hard Mode New-Game-Plus run, which means that although he can buy all techniques from the start, he's stuck at the highest difficulty all through the run. Level 4 (or Level Die) makes every enemy hit harder and faster, giving some of them more attack patterns.
