To have a good marriage, you both have to put God first, and have a good relationship with him. My husband and I are Christians, and have been married for 18 years. Like all marriages, we have had ups and downs, but last year, we got to the point that we argued constantly and didn't even feel like we loved each other any more. No one cheated or anything, it was just, the little stuff that builds up in marriage. We both read the book,“The Spirit Filled Life”, by Charles Stanley, and the Lord used that book TO SAVE OUR MARRIAGE! We are now very much in love, with the Lord, and each other!

Lynn Millard thank you!!! I actually just ordered the book for me and my ex gf! I was previously in not a very God honoring relationship with her and we split because of that and it was toxic:/ I still love her so much and she does as well but we knew we had to be single and draw near to him so that is where we are now. It has been 5 months but we still need more time. Thank you:)

If the video above offends you because they didn’t officially say “XYZ” then I have to question if you are truly a Christian. As a black young woman but as a CHRISTIAN first, I believe our eyes should not be focused on physical things but on spiritual things. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12 Even though they said that they love black people and have black friends, it doesn’t matter what they or anyone else says at the end of the day. If you know what God says about you and that he has created you for a purpose for his glory, no one can make you feel inferior without your permission (Eleanor Roosevelt). If you have to wait for your favorite KZbinr or Instagrammer to say something that God has already said about you then you never believed Him to begin with. And don’t even get started with “white privilege” because that doesn’t exist.

As a black person who loves your channel, I want to thank y’all for expressing your thoughts on the current situation going on in the world. Though it should go without saying ( if you follow the Bible and have a transformed heart) that you love all people, it still helps your black audience ( in my opinion) to know that we are in your thoughts and prayers. You two obviously voice truth, and certainly follow the greatest commandments, to love the Lord with all of your heart and to love your neighbor as you love yourself. Ya’lls lives as a couple speak for itself. But still, thank you for speaking. ❤️

It's such a over whelming feeling of .. it's the greatest gift to my heart & soul all the hard work I have done will be rewarded & I cant explain how greatful & its like.. over whelming happiness & I told him I needed to learn about christian/Catholic couples because I never really had a real example . I have to say that I read the Bible, listen to sermons, listen to Christian music, and pray everyday by staying still I have to admit that I almost never do it. And this is so interesting because it happens that when I am in nature I have some times when I stay still and I admire God's creation, and at those moments I can hear God's voice clearer. These moments are rare, but I definitely have to make time to be more still. Thank you again for sharing your faith and knowledge!!!

This video was a good reminder and as I’ve been born and raised as a Christian this reminds me eventhough with this covid year anything is possible with god by your side and listening to him. “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” Psalms 46:10 NLT The Meaning of Psalms 46:10 As God addresses Israel, He is not just telling them to “be still” or “rest”. If this is written during a time of war, which it most likely is, God is commanding them to “stop fighting” and open their eyes to who He is. In some translations, it is phrased “cease striving.” It’s easy to be fearful when things aren’t going well or when we are faced with challenges and conflict in our life. In the midst of their struggle, however, God tells His people to wake up and recognize who’s on their side. In that light, the tone of this verse can be read: stop striving, stop fighting, and stop trying to do things on your own. Stop stressing about the battle ahead and trust me. Wake up! I am the Lord. I am your refuge and your strength. You have nothing to fear or worry about when I am with you. I will fight your battles and deal with your enemies. So get out of my way. Step back, open your eyes, and acknowledge who I am and what I can do. Let me be God. Don’t try and do my job for me. Be patient, be still, and let me go to work. I'm kinda emotional right know because my priest (I'm Catholic) said the same thing today in Mass. "Why we care so much about what people think us? Why we're not worrying about what God thinks of us? That's what we should care about." And that touched me so much. And now you guys saying basically the same thing... well that's a message

@lisagomes59464 жыл бұрын
@@userm180 I'm sorry you think that way, but I am Catholic exactly because I trust only God and the Church Jesus build on Peter. You're probably protestant so I get you don't understand about Our Lady or the saints. If you ever wanna talk about it, I'm here. I'm just so sorry that people think like that because I feel you're missing so much. Once you find Jesus himself on the sacraments, there's no place you rather be. May the Lord be with you.

@@lisagomes5946 the church means us, JESUS' people. JESUS said to not make idols in the old testament and catholics do that by praying to mary. do you want what i'm trying to say?
@lisagomes59464 жыл бұрын
@@userm180 we do not make idols, we only worship God. About Mary, we venerate Her, and this act is old as the church itself. The Virgin Mary is the Mother of Jesus, God. She's a creature of the Lord, so she can't be an idol, but she is waaay blessed than anyone else, because can you imagine a grace great than be the Mother of God? And about the praying to Mary, we ask her to intercede on the behalf of us to Jesus as she interceded, for example, in Cana. Jesus is the only mediator, but you can't ask your mother or friends to pray for you? This is what we're doing, asking our Mother (Mary) to pray for us. I hope this can clarify a little. Even though you don't believe, and I respect that, I recommend to you read what the Catholic church has to say about this things. We have the Catechism and documents saying what we believe and why we do that, we don't do (or interprete) whatever we want hahah. I don't know what previous experiences you had with Catholicism, but I hope God can chance that for you. And I'm sorry, what is to be non-demoninational? Is it just to be protestant in general? Be in peace!

You definitely used the Wisdom which God blessed you with to respond to those questions. Because most people asking this are only wanting more division. I can only speak for myself but the reason I wanted you to address this (but was not one of those who asked you to) was that I'm a new Christian and resonate with how you guys represent yourselves as Christians. I'm speaking out on this issue and asking other Christians for a compassionate response because I feel like that is what im being called to do. And im searching for that sense of unity in the christian community. But honestly I feel like too many of us are just as divided as non christians. P.s. I don't mean this to come off as rude. Just wanted to give you my thoughts on your question.

I'm an older Christian and it's sad to say that so many of God's children are as divided as the world. God will sort them out.

I'm learning to relate to God as my Father. The Bible describes relationship with Him as a father and child. I'm His child and I usually acknowledge that in my quiet time. And I go into it with the expectation of the Holy Spirit revealing things to me that I need to know and using me to intercede for others or whatever He wants me to do. God's always speaking, we're just not always listening. And He may not always speak in some spectacular way, sometimes it's just that still small voice on the inside that you have to get quiet at times in order to tune into it.

These videos that you guys have made based on this topic were SO in line with when I began reading 'Spiritually Healthy Relationships, Day-by-Day' by Peter Scazzero. The emphasis on listening has been such a blessing, and I cannot believe it has taken me this long to realise how important it is. Thank you for laying it all out for us all x

I wasn’t expecting that question. I think sometimes we get impressions and thoughts, question not inspired by God but inspired by frustration, lack of understanding, etc . That doesn’t mean we are not connected to him ,it just proves that sometimes we can be offsite and we also are humans in need of Him more &more as we also grow. Thank you for the video , most points I agree but that question “ why do people care?“ especially on this topic Black lives matter ah . I think people here have shared why and I don’t need to get into that. :) . Thank you guys for sharing.😊
