Ive always stressed that God hates being narrowed down into religion when people ask my religion. Labels.... people strive for them... if they had faith and a personal relationship with God they wouldn't need a label to feel secure. The scriptures are unfolding before our eyes and everyone who truly believes needs to drop their damn egos and open there hearts so that they too may awaken to the truth. I'm so glad that there's others like you out there that agree.... God is too precious to label, I can feel his anger towards the people who attend church every Sunday all just to keep up with the jones's and are hypocritical in their everyday lives living in hate and materialistic envy.... I pray for them that, they too, will realize Gods word....

One of the most difficult things to face in life is when the church hurts you. Part of the reason it is so challenging is that you expect church to be a safe haven. It’s one thing when people who don’t profess to know Jesus hurt you. It’s an entirely different scenario when those who know Jesus do the same thing. In boxing, there is a saying that the punch that hurts the worst is the one you don’t see coming. For many of us, this is exactly how church hurt feels. It’s the punch you don’t see coming or even expect and that is the one that does the most damage.

It's because they point to a man, but they do not listen to this man. Jesus wasn't a face, he was an action. What did Jesus truly point to, throughout his message? His message to mankind was to emphasize being a servant, loving your neighbor. That is why he emphasizes it on every chapter, it's the bulk of his message.

Jesus had 12 disciples and sandles..not a mega church and a Mercedes. Jesus loves the poor of spirit and blesses those who mourn. The last shall be first, and the first shall be last...how does this fit in with the current narrative of the " Church "? It doesn't. Something is happening in the " Church" and it is very dark. I agree with this guy, in the sense that Jesus would not be welcome in todays church. Saint Francis said " Preach the gospel at all times...and if necessary use words." This guy was right when he said that the life of Jesus does not align with the exclusivity of the church. Jesus was a champion of the lost, not an establishment lemming. Jesus flipped tables at the temple because they were turning it into a Den of thieves. I think there is a lot of good natured people who are trapped in churches " Jesus clubs " , who are being fed a narrative that is not Godly at all. The deceptive aspect of the church is at it core there is the truth, which is the love of Jesus, but it is packaged and surrounded by lies which come from the hearts of men. Matthew 25: 40. "The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." The church is focused on prosperity and power, not the lost. I do not believe Christ ascribes to the prosperity doctrine. Something about a camel and a needle ect. I don't want to judge, as I am not God, nor do ever want to lead someone astray, but something about what this man is saying rings true. The state of the church today seems very disconnected from the teachings of Jesus. I pray that there is an awakening and God brings his people back to him.

Absolutely correct in your analysis. When we receive Christ IN us, we immediately come out from among them and are separated unto God, through Christ the Good Shepherd of the sheep. He is the only mediator between God and men in the new covenant, not some pious religious conman. His sheep hear His voice, we don't follow strangers and hirelings in temples made with hands, it's that simple. We cannot eat from the Lord's table and the table of devils. When we are wasting our substance, living riotous in mystery Babylon, we are eating from the table of devils in the synagogues of Satan, the Christian "churches". Those who name the name of Christ shall depart from iniquity. We are as those who have been raised from the dead. To be carnally minded is death. The whole system of churchianity is utterly carnal, they are as children tossed to and fro and carried about by every wind of doctrine by the sleight of MEN and their cunning craftiness whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

Jesus clearly warned us that there will be many false prophets as well as there shall be many false teachers! Phl 3:18 For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as ENEMIES of the cross of Christ. Phl 3:19Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. 1Co 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.Jhn 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.Jhn 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.Jhn 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.Jhn 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.Jhn 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. 1Th 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.1Th 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.1Th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.1Th 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.1Th 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.1Th 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.1Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

He wasn't this big ceremonial performance ppl make of him...he was so laid back and an introvert. And he was bullied and killed for it. When i talk to other christians however i find myself in the posission where i have to Ask if they know the story of Jesus. This is what i think. Jesus was against religion, the bible were made by men. Jesus told us that we should not trusth these religions blindly as men grew money and power from it, and that was not at all what god intended. we made a religion out of Jesus who said it was wrong, if you follow hes story (not the man made rules) then we find the one thing that he preached, which is love. Great video, eventhough i would like to hear what he thinks about the bible
@grorud104 жыл бұрын
@Anthony Lara Cabrera Yes. I do however believe the men who wrote it was inspired by god. The problem with this argument is that the text has been changed troughout history. The evidence we have for jesus and hes preaching is found primarily in the biblical texts, which is why it is important to read, understand and analyze it. The reason being that if you believe that Jesus is god, it is infinatly important to know of hes life and hes doings, so we can understand and represent him as well as we can as humans. I would like to add to my former comment that christ and hes diciples was the first church of christianity. And that a community with other christians are a good thing, however church is the people and the faith they share, not something happening within a location.

The issue is not that we should 'organise' around the teachings and practices of Jesus and his authorised apostles but that Christianity has a different God, different gospel and a different hope to these. In fact the very name 'church' and 'christian' do not even appear in the original writings. Christianity does not really follow the person it is named after. 'Christians' was the name given to a group who were separating from the original biblical faith. The word written was 'chrestian' meaning godly or gracious ones. It was changed in the early centuries.

The first lie of the Adversary was “you shall not surely die”, contradicting what God said and introducing the false doctrine of “immortality of the soul”, ie “you will be as God”.

May God bless you all. I walked away from the Catholic religion but I never stopped believing in God Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Not one of us is worthy of Heaven, only by the Jesus Christ can we find grace and the Father, Jesus Christ and the Father are the same and he lives in us and guide's us as the Holy Sperit if you accept him. We all have free will to follow his ways Love one another as I love you, love thy neighbor as you love yourself. Jesus said it better then I could ever. Religionist did teach the basic of the Bible but as I read it I realized the religion I was in was manipulating it's people. I choose to follow Jesus Christ not man, the Holy Sperit not the flesh. May Jesus Christ bless you.

God isn't in the business to care whether you wear mixed cloths in your clothing or eat lobster on a Sunday. A long time ago one of Mohammed Mohammed Mohammed's friends would always eat pork every afternoon without cooking it all the way, and when he died, his flesh was all full of worms. Mohammed, thinking of demons and spirits, think that the pig is the devil's animal, and when his church followers stopped eating undercooked pork, people magically stopped dying and no longer had worms in their corpses....so according to him God appeared happy and makde it a rule of the religion. Lurking variables are a real thing...

i prayed to God three days ago for a clear sign indicating that i should post the below on facebook, watching this video was that sign i mean i was super excited but if we all read through my post, it really brings it home because love is the centre of christs message hence the need for fellowship with one another, that which a rigid modern organized system lacks, when we come from that angle, the flaw is becomes too evident compared to the way the faith started out. without love between brethren, its just another powerless religion and vertical at best.

It's a kinda funny thing. Where religion would place a requirement of gathering, to be made public, to be made known, to "show" (and provide Yellow Page listings and signs reading "Church" of where this must and should be done) the world's outcasts not only can't resist gathering, but are very pleased to do so.
@CalledHigher-ib8ce6 жыл бұрын
I agree ,the "church" is a group of people with the intentions of serving God.No religion needed,Jesus came and fullfilled that.The only thing that is needed as a Christian is a relationship with God and loving Him.If we love him then we will do what "He" wants us to do.Not what other men think what we should do.Not to say we can't ask for advice.I don't want to sound like a preacher here,sorry.

Once again, another good video. Churches today are generally run wrong. The scriptures say that it was Jesus' habit to stand up and read from the scriptures in the synagogues. It also says how we are to run churches, God says, Let two or three prophets speak and the others judge. Unfortunately to many preachers have the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which God says he hates. These are those who want to be all powerful and authoritative over others, they think they know it all. This is especially true of those who have gone to seminary (spiritual cemetery) and whose titles start with Dr. God says that people preach for three reason; profit, out of pretense, or out of a pure conscience toward God. Martin is right, you don't need organized religion, but we should not forsake the gathering of ourselves together, and so much more as we see The Day approaching. God even says that it is often His sheppards that are scattering His flock, They will pay for that. God will gather His flock through His Word. That is not to say that all churches are bad because God will reveal things through His church. Find a church that preaches and practices the Word of God. Remember, FORSAKE NOT the gathering of yourselves together and go to the source yourself, read God's Word.

Beautiful message, Martin, the last minute of which kicked ass. My Christian life has been spent undoing most of what I had 'learned' in church. Have not set one toe in church since my wife died 22 years ago. I overheard one of the brethren suggest she had died due to unconfessed sin. Religion (which is based on law not Grace) is a killer. By the way, Ass is a Biblical term.

GATHERING OR ATTENDING??? I sincerely wonder about a huge part of the 21st century church……is the building now the church and not the people??? The church just seems a little too grown up…..formal and routine and uninvolved and busy…….Denominations with their own order of service and ways of running things. Some called workers and the pastors who basically run the show, service time that is and all its rigorous planning while others sit and watch and listen and leave when its over…..but it didn’t begin this way and for good reason…this way doesn’t keep that well, theres no spontaneity and authenticity or truthfulness to it, theres no freedom, no vulnerability……no needful and palpable love among brethren…. Church is about loving one another as Christ loved us, we owe love to one another {acts 4:32; john 15:8&12-17; john 13:34-35; romans 13:8, galatians 6:10}……it’s not about a venue or the chores we do within it. God isn’t out for our sweat but our love…..this is the commandment that Jesus left us with…..love one another as I have loved you…..so why are we not doing this? Why have we settled for organized religion?? Should we be known for organizing grand services and programs instead of genuine commitment, dedication to one another…..genuine love for one another???? Money can do the former, only God makes the latter possible. It’s about what each person brings to the table that is, to one another as often as we gather and not about the table prepared before us on Sunday morning, not about the “order of service”. Are we gathering or are we just attending? Are we just “going to church” like we popularly say and do or are we actually being church?? If the former is the case then we need to be awakened to true spirituality! It’s this simple we are team players in an away match on a field that’s not ours, that field is this world, so it’s no surprise that its fans hate us, and our goal is the hope of God’s glory through Jesus at His appearing together with Him where he is. Now Jesus is the one with the game pad controlling the team play. The team interaction is simply one word LOVE. it’s the whole reason why Jesus died and rose and ascended so that we may all be filled with him in the spirit, to be one even as God is one, to belong to him, born of GOD to truly know his love , to be like him, the way he was with his disciples and everyone else here on earth, we loving one another the same way up till the time when he will return for us and everything will be made right. Now that this is simply stated, let me ask….. How much interacting do you do with the people sitting beside you in a cinema hall?? Just one two three side turns when the movie gets super exciting and some would even find doing this with strangers super awkward. Tell me…doesn’t this sound like Sunday morning?? Turn to your unknown neighbor or unknown brother and say this or say that…..So what are we really looking at? what are we actually watching? What are we hearing? What are we preaching?? Because the face of Jesus which we say we stare at should also be the bond of love that we practically share. He wants to love others through us!{Philippians 2:12-13; 1John 3:14} and nobody can love the brethren like brethren, the world certainly can’t because the world doesn’t know God, God is Love and only God can love in that special way and he wants to do that through us who are his children. We say brother this, sister that but these titles are in vain if we are not truly there for one another in good times and bad, if all we do is play monitoring spirits and horrible bosses+stressed out employees directed only towards attending church service and fulfilling service chores respectively and not intentional actions to be there for one another and to show understanding. Its why many stick around only for as long as they have church responsibilities and attend only once in a while afterwards or stop coming all together. I don’t know about you but I’m just interested in loving the brethren and them loving me back, true friends to share life with because this is what the lord desires, we were created for community but many are too busy preaching and chasing other things……things that give such rigid arrangements continuity… It’s about Each joint supplying as led by the Holyspirit, in inspired teaching, prophecy, diverse gifts of the spirit, comfort to the broken hearted, giving to brethren in need, spiritual songs, prayers, making sure none is alone, truly washing one another’s feet, getting down and dirty in order to make clean, not about climbing a high stage {1 cor 14:26, john 13:14}. We are sheep and sheep flock together following their shepherd……our good Shepard is Jesus. That hi hi before and after service and a selected few people show isn’t church…there’s just too little contact, too little involvement. We are just ‘attending’ with strangers like we do in our schools and workplace, cold and impersonal…… We are our own work and our own home, this world isn’t ours. When we see past the inaccurate things that we preach, hear and pursue, we will see that this is what truly matters………

Literally the church was organised since Abraham and perhaps since Adam and Eve. If you don’t accept God TELLING MOSES ON MOUNT SINAI in the Talmud how to organise the priests and worship God in an organised way, The Lord spoke to Peter and had him appoint deacons and priests. Paul went out and appointed people to safeguard the church wherever he established it. God made religion organised so we may guide each other to Heavan. And on your last point, the Lord has supported standing in defense of brethren in faith and evangelising since the dawn of time. The Israelites fought for God countless times, and those who fled or refused were punished by the Lord. God told Peter to put away his sword not because he was a pacifist, but because Christ needed to be sacrificed.

I'm one the believes in measuring the inputs and waveforms around you noticing the intrinsic presence of the deities that do nice things for you and being happy to be alive, instead of fearing death and going 'woe is me' and being sad. If you had three meals today you are wealthier than 60 percent of the population. Being in a club that hates poor people because they are the 'wrong' color is not very religious. Being religious is helping others in need and opening their eyes to the phenomena of nature that goes around them.

You're right .Church is within us. Our relationship with God is just between Him and us alone. But how do we teach our children to become good people.? Our children need to be taught constantly & be brought up with moral values as their guide while growing up and to become good members of the society. Children are the easiest target of manipulative environment. How would they come to know that there is God ? There is good and evil, or right and wrong , reward and punishment but how are they gonna know all of these things ?They need to learn God's laws.

Rejecting that epithet "organized" has little to do with rejecting God and much to do with rejecting humanity and other humans, with all their flaws and strengths. If you would happen to have 300 people who for some reason feel special spiritual connection to a thousand year oak tree, and they would, each by their own accord, come to show their admiration, and if you would have 300 of them at the same place at the same time, you would need to organize. Wherever there are people, there is either organization, or chaos because people together cannot leave space to things be arbitrary, especially because of man's inherent imperfection. So then, organization can be good, bad and ugly, it can be changed to some degree and it's pointless to reject it, lest one would want to live on a deserted island.

Very thoughtful comment. We can either participate in wisdom or isolate. It's a messy existence and all interpersonal relations and endeavors can be messy, but maybe that's why love and forgiveness is such a big deal. By "throwing the baby out with the bathwater" we find ourselves alone. I think we mature when we learn to manage expectations. There's a fine line between compromising our integrity vs. having a wise, big-picture conscious-tolerance of non-essentials in order to participate with others and be involved in worthy endeavors. Thank you!

Srila Prabhupada: Religion means to abide by the laws of God. That’s all. It cannot be “Hindu,” “Muslim,” “Christian.” Take the state law: in the state there are many persons, many citizens of the state - but the law does not stipulate that “This is for the Christians,” “This is for the Jews,” “This is for the black men,” “This is for the white men.” The law is not like that.

This video reminded me of so much today. Like the parable of the two sons, and another dialogue in chapter 6 of Mark. Matthew 21:28-32 Parable of the two son, which to me means: The leaders of Israel are the second son who claimed obedience, but did not do the will of the father. So, the Church of today claims obedience to God, but they do not carry out his will. Mark 6:1-6 And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him. 2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? 3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. 4 But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. 5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. 6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching. Here you can see that even doing miracles such as healing didn't get the people to believe. Jesus literally walked out marveled at their unbelief. God speed brothers and sisters. Don't forget to seek Christ and repent :)
