I was looking nostalgically at beautiful Disney songs from Pocahontas, which is my favorite Disney movie. Norte Dame was not my favorite, but then I was a bit older for it. I find God in many places, as a child that was music. I had a pink case of cassette tapes dedicated to Disney sing along songs. The songs in Pocahontas draw me to Him. I’m glad my generation was able to see God in songs from Disney. That’s what led me to this video. I am so glad I found this song. Your voice is amazing. I just read that you will be in the new Hunger Games movie. Congrats! I don’t think Hollywood is bad, we just need to fill it with beautiful souls like yours and then it can truly shine!

"Hunchback of Notre Dame" was favourite Disney film growing up I love merely every adaptation of the story, 'God Help The Outcasts' is one of the most absolutely stunning songs ever sung by a heroine in a 'children's musical.' You did so wonderful. Actually, the correct term for them is Romani and the term gypsy is considered a slur by most Romani communities. The term “Gypsy” was created by European people based off of a misconception and is considered offensive. (Also, as magical as Disney is, many of its movies are extremely racist and Walt Disney himself was very racist!!)

It was also much more preferred to be called gypsy by Romani communities back in the 90s (when HB came out) AND Esmeralda is self identifying herself as a gypsy rather than that term being forced upon her. And even though Walt Disney himself may have been racist, he was long dead during the production of HB, and Disney isn’t portraying gypsies as villains - Esmeralda is literally the hero.

I cried a little at the end. Some people get ostracized then and now in their church, like women who feel called to be ministers, the LGBTQAI+ community at large, children who need to be saved from clergy who would hurt them sexually, the divorced, etc. I get there will be different types of churches and denominations, but the stricter churches don't have to treat the LGBTQAI+ community like they made a choice, that they could be changed (I believe God has that power, but I haven't knowingly seen someone truly be changed.), that they are more vile than the pedophiles who get protected by some of the same churches. Children need to be protected in each church, girls and women need to be safe in each church and not treated like objects, and any sexual assault needs to be stopped and turned into the police (at least for cases involving children). People who cannot meet traditional divorce and remarriage requirements need our understanding. Some people get abused, some people fail at their marriage. Basically, we need to have more compassion for each other and that does not mean acting like some people are just truly going to hell (and that they deserve to be told that constantly as opposed to any of us, lose legal rights, lose their lives, etc.) while other people who get to benefit from reform and some tradition are treated like the best Christians and the only ones going to Heaven. We only know so much and we must all try our best. It seems like God accepted that in people and I cling to that for hope, like with what's stated about a woman not everyone would expect to be seen as righteous in James 2:25. The rules matter, so does love, and none of us are perfect.
