Every year the same discussion. Nobody has to celebrate the birth of Yeshua in a pagan way! I have decided to do this: honor the father with thanksgiving and praying, giving to people in needs, spending time with my family and friends and using the time for meditation on the word of God.

If you don't celebrate Christmas that's fine but be careful not to condemn those who do. As the rabbi says we know that it is not the actual day. It is just an official birthday for people to especially celebrate the incarnation of the Eternal Word of God. God bless you at this time anyway and throughout the coming year (or until He returns). In Jesus's name, amen.

@@joanrichards8252 Dear Joan, I didn't say whether I thought you condemned Christmas or not. I said just don't condemn it because some people go beyond not celebrating it themselves and judge others for celebrating it. As the rabbi says we know that it is not the real time of year for Jesus birth. It is just an official time when the church celebrates the birthday of Jesus because we can't be sure exactly when the right time is. I just want to hold the bond of peace not accuse you of anything. I really need to express my deepest heartfelt thanks to you Rabi Schneider for pointing out that Dec 25th is a day to remember our Saviors birth but not the actual day of His birth. Christmas time had become a period of commercialization long before I was born and in my life was further devalued in the renaming Xmas. Now it's called the holiday season in further separation from the reason for its existence. I inadvertently upset a Jewish woman's day when I wished her a Merry Christmas and she corrected me by stating that it is Hanukkah. I whipped around in Joy and responded, "Why yes it is and a happy Hanukkah to you too." What I will say the next time is, "It is because of the faith of our fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that we have both Hanukkah and a time to remember the birth of the one and only Yeshua HaMashiach." For those of us who are still learning, and I hope that I will always continue to learn, we have the following answers from Jewish Voice, "Who is Yeshua HaMashiach?" online for those who want more information from Jewish resources. As always from a grateful student, thank you so very much Rabi (teacher) Schneider. You have, are, and God willing, will continue to bless us from our Father through you to us.

This is what the Lord says: “Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens, though the nations are terrified by them. 3 For the practices of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. 4 They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter. 5 Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good.” 6 No one is like you, Lord; you are great, and your name is mighty in power.

I'm sorry, I have to disagree strongly. Yes, we need to celebrate and "PRAISE" God for the birth of Yeshua, but not on a "pagan" holiday, done with "Pagan" rituals. God in His Holy Word also warned the Israelite's for doing the same thing. They took some of the ways people celebrated other gods and used those ways to celebrate God, and God was against that. When I hear the phrase "keep Christ in Christmas" or "He's the reason for the season" it makes me sick to my stomach on how far Christians have moved from our Holy Father. Christ was never "in" Christmas, so He is not the reason for the season. This day was not just picked at random because we wanted to make a day of celebration for Christs birth, it was chosen by the Roman rulers of the day because he wanted to merge the holiday with his own pagan holiday. It's evil and its in the bible as a "dont do this" , from God." What ever happened to what was said in the last video about "Hanukkah" ? How we are to stand up for what's wrong, be strong, love God enough to loose everything. Well, that is what I choose to do, to love God so much that even though I'm the only one of my family that has realized the truth about Christmas, I choose not to worship God with pagan things, or on a pagan holiday, even though it makes me unpopular.

Amen. Its a pagan tradition through and through. Vain tradition of men. We cannot just go slapping christs name on things and make them ok. I used to believe that Yeshua came at the feast of the Tabernacles in his birth. One day last year I prayed and asked the Lord what time of the year was he born because I had come to conclusion it was not Christmas. Behold, no sooner did I pray that then I run across an article that somebody had done and they used the Hebraic months and believe it or not it did come up to this month in the Hebrew equivalent to December around the 25th. 😃🙏🔥, Wow wow, I was so impressed that I made a bookmark in my phone about it. But it was my old phone so I lost it. But yes I do believe that Messiah was born in December around the 25th after reviewing that article involving the Hebrew months. And it was just astounding. When I was a union carpenter for almost 30 years I always liked going off plans that were well executed and had diagrams and schedules. We never guessed where to start something. Whether it was a scaffold project or a form project or a pile of driving project or a bridge project. All things had to be done exactly. And that article was done exactly. I definitely will try to find that article again so I can make another bookmark in my new phone. But more than knowing when Christ was born is knowing him as Savior and Messiah. Shalom alechem Mispoch. 🇺🇸🇮🇱

Please don't take this wrong. I'm genuinely wanting to be in the right place and on the right path. Should we also follow the rules of how to wear our hair and things like that from the ancient Hebrew ways? I'm confused about why, if we are free from many of the old rules because Jesus Yeshua Messiah fulfilled the law, has Rabbi Schneider turned to growing his hair the way he has? Should I do the same? Is it just for Rabbis? If so why is it still required? Should I grow out my beard and not shave my head to hide loosing hair? Hahaha. I know being obedient isn't funny, but fashions can be funny as long as it's just in lightheartedness and not pride. I just want to be as pleasing to The Lord as possible and be obedient. Why has Rabbi Schneider grown his hair like this and should I? I've just been wondering for some time and wanting to be as good and right as possible. Thank you. I love you all!

@Paula Rae Exactly! I'm not wondering for anyone in humanity. I'm wanting to be pleasing to The Lord. When I stand before Jesus Yeshua Messiah Lord God Almighty as part of the bride I want to be as close to whatever He wants me to be as I can in every way! I listen to The Holy Spirit and sometimes The Lord just tells me, yet sometimes he moves me to ask. His purposes for how He has me go about it are His. And I understand that He will use each instance to the fulfillment of His will. Perhaps through me having to ask instead of Him just telling me someone else will read and have revelation of things The Lord wants them to. I can only do as The Holy Spirit moves me and hope to have been a good and faithful servant in whatever it was. Hope this helps. Again I love you all my Brothers and Sisters in The Lord! Amen!

The King James says that an axeman cut down a tree, made it stand up, it was decorated and worshipped. And those who worshipped it were Heathen which are unbelievers. Like the 3 Wise Men gave gifts to Jesus' family, people give the decorated tree gifts but that is God's Creation. They then take the gifts and give them to one another. Thou shalt have no other gods before God. They are worshipping Creation rather than the Creator. They also created and worshipped a beast because they would not wait, and God made them melt it down and drink it. They get more excited about Christmas than they do God Almighty.

Thank you so much for this teaching. I love your ministry and enthusiasm for Torah and our Savior Yeshua. CHRISTMAS SCRIPTURE QUESTIONS??? 1. Why did it take two years for Wisemen to travel to Bethlehem? 2. How come Herod could not see the star of Bethlehem but Wisemen could see it? 3. Was the star over Bethlehem only at YESHUA'S birth? COMMENT... I am having difficulty with Hebrew Roots people who reject Christmas and say it is pagan. I disagree. Even the wisemen celebrated YESHUA'S birth. Births are recorded all thru the OT. They take Jeremiah 10 out of context. J10 isn't talking about worshipping a tree. It's talking about carving it into an idol. And I believe evergreen trees are a clear Christian symbol: Hyssop, Cedar, Acacia, the cross and the most obvious Tree Of Life! It may well be that celebrating Christmas on December 25th (HIS conception when LIGHT entered the world), with symbolic evergreens may have ALWAYS been Christian. Perhaps pagans hijacked it the same way they hijacked the rainbow? Rant off...

I do not believe Yeshua could have been born on Sukkot. Then all the Israelites would have been out living in their sukkas. The Bible said their was no room in the inns. The people would not have been inside. Only the Shepard's we're out in the field. The better theory would be Him being born during the Feast of Dedication. The Eighth day of that being His circumcision/ His dedication in the Temple.
@elizedenaemissd94982 жыл бұрын
No no no we should not celebrate the birth of our Christ on December 25. That day is a pagan celebration day. Just because jealous believers added the name of Christ to that day does not make it right. You are practicing pantheism when you throw Yeshua's name in with Druid religious practices and saturnalia worship of that day. Don't throw the name of Our Messiah into a basket with false gods. When you do this you are doing no different than the Israelites in Exodus 32.

Hanukkah and Christmas are man made holidays. Did Christ tell us to acknowledge Hanukkah? HE went to the city where Jews we’re celebrating it and shared with them He is the one and only ULTIMATE light that has no ending. Did Christ reveal to us HIS birthdate and to acknowledge it? No, HE did not, but He has shown through scripture that HE is the ULTIMATE gift and gift giver! In Hosea 14, God says he’s like the cypress or evergreen tree or fir (whichever the version of the Bible you read) The Christians did not steal the 25th-this is common misinformation. Santa Claus is a character inspired by Bishop Nickolas of Myra. The HILARITY behind the “pagans did this…” and “pagans have this day…” God created First day/ Sunday (West Hemis) and the following days-who has the first and final say? He does😂 The only thing the devil himself created was evil or perverted what is good (intelligence, sex, entertainment, and the list goes on) As for Hanukkah, the days we celebrate it this year falls on the dates of Saturnian, are the Jews worshiping a pagan god? UM, NOOPE! The wedding band dates back into the ancient Egyptian period, we followers of Christ and Jews…most of the citizens of this earth actually adopted that custom. You have some people within the church that are creating divisions because someone eats(or doesn’t eat) pork and or shellfish, celebrates birthdays, anniversaries or federal holidays( tiny, no microscopic matters vs someone who doesn’t know Christ!). Also, we can say Jesus or Yeshua-both names I have called when I needed help or said during praise and no matter what, HE WAS THERE AND ANSWERED!!❣️❣️ No wonder we are a joke to those who are unbelievers. Christ never told us not to celebrate either holiday. Let’s come together in Christ, build each other up in Christ and remain in Christ together!! Tov, ken?!?❤️ 🎊Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas 🎊 ⭐️🌈🎁👑

I have listened to many of your messages and was prepared to support you, but while you logically explained the roots of Christmas, the idea that you became lukewarm at the end by being wishy-washy and saying it's okay to celebrate Christmas was a turn-off for me as one who is seeking true worship. I think it is a pretty milk toast way to appease those looking for a reason to say it's okay but you lose the truth of following God. If we are to be true to God, sometimes it means going against what man says is OK and presenting a reason to differentiate yourself from the world. Of course, we never judge others but Paul was clear, as were many other scriptures in the New Testament and the Old Testament about departing from the traditions of men. Following God and leaning into Jesus means we are to be separate from man's ways.
