Edited* Um, I doubt that's what the scripture meant [Matthew 18: 8,9]. For example, someone lose their eye in an accident and they had to do surgery to completely remove it. And receive in place, a prosthetic eye. The scripture said if your eye offend you, pluck it out, it's better to enter into paradise without one member than to have the entire body perish because of that one member. Just what if you weren't using your eyes to displease God, you trying your best to look on godly stuff, but you lose your eye. Does it really mean that you commit an offence hence your eye have to go for you to go to heaven? Job went through his trials. A man the bible described as prefect and upright... not that he never sinned. The bible said: 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. KJV Romans 3 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; But at some point he (Job) must thought that God was not hearing him or either far away from him as we all may feel sometimes when we going through our trials. Satan tempted his wife to convince job to sin. He (Job) ended up rebuking her and Job sinned not. And Job remained faithful, God visited him in Job 38. Firstly, Satan asked God's permission to put Job through trial, God allowed it so Job can draw much more closer to God as Marc Tompkins could also relate. Ellen White comments: The very trials that test our faith most severely, and make it seem that God has forsaken us, are designed to lead us nearer to Christ, that we may lay all our burdens at his feet, and receive the peace he will give us in exchange.... If your right hand offend thee, cut it off? Should this be taken literal? If you should remove your hand literally, you're gonna lose blood and die, because life is in the blood. And would u make it into heaven? that's like comitting suicide... Why pain (Trial)? [10:00] Lessons from pain? [16:09] This is what Ellen White have to say in 'Advent Review, and Sabbath Herald, vol. 14 September 29, 1859, page 148 paragraph 9' Again he said [Matthew 5:29, 30]. “And if thy right eye offend thee pluck it out and cast it from thee.... And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off and cast it from thee, for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.” The true sentiment here taught is, that whatever obstacles present themselves in the way, causing us to err or forfeit eternal life, though the objects are as sacred as a right eye or hand, we are nevertheless to sacrifice them, for it would be far better to obtain the kingdom of God without these, than to forfeit the same by retaining them.

You are very very blessed that you have been healthy your whole life. A drunk driver hit me at 16 yrs old. I broke my back, sternum, etc etc. 19 operations later in 54 and have suffered for years. As soon as you said rash on hip and went around back, I said shingles! I had the vaccine, so I never have to get that. It's so painful I hear. Then your sternum , ribs, back etc. I totally understand all of it, and my heart goes out to you! At your age you can't be lifting, turning, bike riding etc. your balance changes as you get older, it's time to stop that stuff. Prayers and blessings for you!
