As someone who has suffered extensively at the hands of narcs, it's also important to point out character traits that attract them to you: bad boundaries, not sticking up for yourself, being overly nice to everyone, being highly critical of yourself, being too trusting people before they prove they are trustworthy. Both sides have a part to play! Don't let these things happen to you, be rooted in your identity in Christ, look to God for comfort and strength, know that you are worthy 💖 God bless you all. Nice summary Mark!

Yes, I am at this stage now. I got rid of some Narcs, but new ones try to come in. So I am asking: what did I do, or what are my wrong beliefs (that I need to correct) that is attracting these Narcs to come into my life? I have to take responsibility for what is my part. While I won’t beat myself up, but I want to know and fix the problem.

I pray for the enlightenment of all narcissists, that they may welcome Christ Jesus in their lives, start forgiving themselves, and stop hurting people. I pray that they soon realize how much their actions cause hurt and damage to people, especially those who they choose to be in a relationship with. I pray for healing to all those who have been victims. God is faithful.

I was raised by a narc. In my lowest, God woke me up to the manipulative tactics of my step-father. The lovebombing, gaslighting, lack of boundaries, snide comments, controlling of everything you say and do...it drove me insane. I was treated like i was the insane one. It was controlling my life, and affecting my spirit. I cried to god for a way out. And he called for me to get kicked out because i called my narc father a ‘jerk’. The best thing that ever happened to me. The lord continues to bless me, and my relationship with God became even greater after i left. Narcs, christian or not, think they are your God. Do not let the demons within them deceive you. Turn to the Lord, for he is the only one who cam give you clarity.

A BIG thing my ex use to do that is a tell tale sign that someone isn't trying to be your partner but wants to dominate and control in an abusive way was telling me I'm bad and need to change but when you say "can you please explain to me or communicate to me what is upsetting you that I do or what you feel I should be changing to better myself in this relationship?" They literally can't even tell you so they will say "If you don't ALREADY know then that's YOU'RE problem" (shutting the conversation down and shutting you out) or, "I'm not even going to tell you, it's a waste of my time" proving selfishness and only seeing themselves as one and not a couple or partnership. Any time the communication is completely denied or dismissed that is you're BIGGEST red flag that they do not care and are not in this to be a partner.

Unfortunately this is me, I married one and I'm finding this out. There were red flags but I gave into lust. However, lust did not keep me in the relationship. What kept me was my biblical principals. I stayed because I wanted to do what was right and selfless and I now see that was a mistake. I'm not sure how AGW does not see it but what he said from 7:30 to 8:05 ending with the verse in Phillipians 2 is exactly what they take advantage of and how you stay stuck in a relationship with them and deny the red flags!!! Through all the stress, mental and emotional anguish that I been put through I've developed heart palpitations and had a bout with a-fib where the doctors would not let me leave the hospital. I know Jesus says that you should not divorce except for marital infidelity but I'm does that also mean to stay in a marriage where a person is literally killing you?!?!

@@n.g.l. That is a good sign that there is hope for you. You can team up with the Holy Spirit and break that curse over your life. Be led by the spirit of the Lord as to what He want you to do in regards to your marriage. Because God knows what goes on in a marriage, and in reality if it is God's will for us to marry. He have a particular individual for us to line up with. So, that His will be done. This person will NOT intentionally bring you misery, pain, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and so on and so forth. We have to recognize when the enemy send us someone as a distraction and a hindrance to our walk in Christ. And God don't want us with anyone that will not encourage us in the Lord, and that will not help us draw closer to the Lord. I plead the blood of Jesus over you from the crown of your head to the sole of your feet in the mighty name of Jesus. No weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue that rise against you in judgement shall and will be condemned in the mighty name of Jesus. ALL IS WELL. Fight with the word, pray when the Lord lead you to pray, fast when the Lord lead you to fast, and fast how He tell you to fast. You have already won the battle. Because Jesus defeated the enemy over 2,000 years ago. But you have to fight against the satan's attacks. He don't have any authority or power over you or your children. Decide to take your place as the child of God that you are and you fight in the mighty name of Jesus. All is well, and victory is yours in the mighty name of Jesus. He's worthy to be praised. I just broke up with a narc last month. I realized though that God CAN change them, but He's the one that has to do it, and they have to be willing. LESSON LEARNED!

I just went through this with someone I got to know for a little over a month. It was going well, but that was the lovebombing. It then took a sudden turn and the devaluation and discard happened. Guilt trip, gaslighting, selfish, didn’t care, moved on easily, all of it 😳 These folks are dangerous

I've been with a narcissist for 30 years and married with two beautiful daughters & Grandbabies & my husband would build me up & tear me down...He was physically & mentally abusive & super jealous...He would stalk me every where I would go & watch me...he always told me I put my kids b4 him...I slept in a separate room bcuz that's how he wanted it & stabbed my blow up mattress right in front of my head...I tried many times to move out but he caught me & stopped me...This last time I was able to move out & now he wants me to pay...I'm trying to forgive him & not hate him & love him from a far...My daughter told me to not let him win this time...I still love him but abuse is abuse...& I'm not all about that...Prayers

It makes it hard to trust people I think. I’ve a long healing process ahead, my sister has too, it’s good we can discuss it. These principles in the video apply to any narc relationship really, thank you

I was thinking how often as the scapegoat in my family of origin my pleas for them to see how hurtful their behavior is by showing examples sound very much like the behavior of the narcissist described in this video. Looking at things from their perspective along with seeing a therapist that specializes in trauma and has helped others from dysfunctional family systems has helped confirm that there is no point in defending myself anymore. Anything I say can and will be used against me. So I’m working on JADE. Do not justify, argue, defend or explain. I will let the main narcissist think all is well and just quietly distance myself more and more each year. I’m so thankful to God for showing me that I am not the person I have been accused of being. Narcissist want to pour who they are into their designated scapegoat. I’m an escaped goat now! Thank you Jesus and my Father God for showing me the way out of this mess!

Tell them no and make a boundary when they love bomb. If they act like a victim or get angry, they’re prob narcissistic or otherwise toxic. Also watch out for covert narcs. They aren’t exactly like the typical slick ones. They seem humble but are not humble at all. Best advice I got tho was to go slow and enforce boundaries. Don’t let anyone rush you into anything. Keep a good strong check on your emotions and have self control and don’t get caught up in all the feelings too soon. Setting boundaries will make their mask slip a lot faster and they’ll likely expose themselves for what they really are. Narcs are notorious for rushing everything tho. And also pushing every emotion you have all at once. They rush things Bcuz they know they can’t keep all that faking up forever. Their mask will eventually slip. They incite a lot of intense feelings very quickly, or at least try to so you’ll not be thinking so clearly about the little red flags all over the place. Sucks having parents like this tho.

I am a Hindu man. And I suffered narcissistic abuse at the hands of a Muslim friend, just for his desire that men that are highly knowledgeable, regardless of the faith they follow, start following Islam. And for four years I had had been trauma bonded. And when I was so, I lost sleep, I could not go to office, I lent money to an other friend, without legal document, only to be cheated by him. Also, I spent a lot of money on treatment. Now, I have been hospitalized for getting treated pshycologically, so that I recover self-esteem, charisma, hair, etc. And deliberate bullying by other narcissists in my workplace, caused me to become his friend. But an abuse of this kind has helped me dispel the belief that Christian sufferers of it too are my brothers and sisters. I pray for their recovery, too.

Great video. Sadly, there's also different types of Narcissists. The Overt Narcissist is the charismatic, very social, person with all these traits mentioned in the video, but the Covert Narcissist is more subtle with their Narcissism. They do the *same things* as the Overt Narcissist, but they're harder to spot.

I have to disagree on the part about narcissist have good social skills because the one I know, I can tell you for a fact they don’t have good social interaction with people at all, they act like they do sometimes, when they’re in one of their good moods but if something isn’t going their way, they are anything but social with someone.

Aren't we all narcissistic in some form before coming to Christ? This didn't help me, in fact I almost got tripped up by it. By focusing on the negative only. I live with a narcissist, that I love. A baby Christian. It's not people we are fighting, but evil and principalities of evil. Forgive them for they know not what they do. Pray for them. Be a light in the darkness. God Bless.

This was my thinking as well. And my mother's also. I grew up in church and saw how the elders were rebuking my mom for wanting to leave her marriage. Her husband sexually abused me and she was still advised to stay. I'm going through narcissistic abuse now and was advised by church people to stay or else I'm hurting my marriage! Today my mother has so many autoimmune diseases, can barely walk and is bitter inside due to what she went through. I'm starting to get gravely sick as well after staying way longer than what I had to in this abusive marriage. GOD HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES. If your husband wants help, that is wonderful. True narcissists think they can do no wrong. My own husband curses God when he thinks no one hears. I've prayed over my husband's healing so many times. I honestly feel that God is rejecting him. And after hearing his 4 am toilet conversations laughing to himself and cursing God, I see why. But my God is merciful. I cannot save my husband. And you cannot save yours either. They have to want it!
