+s0932775328 I think these Orthodox Syrians were of greek origin or greek speaking hellenized Syrians as we know from the two great hymnodhos { = composers of hymns } Romanos Melodhos {Emessa - Homs } and Ioannis Dhamaskinos {Damaskos } and also from so many other saints , metropolites and patriraches of Antiochia {Antakia} Laodhikia {Latakia} ,Seleukia etc Try to learn your real greek-rumorthodox history and not the arabic nationalist and islamic propaganda . Sorry to tell that the Syrians are not the origin of the orthodoxy. You forgot that the first woman was Lebanese who became Christian. Orthodox was first in Constantinople, Turkey now and not Syria. St Paul & St Peter sailed from Sidon and Tyre.

Dear GEORGE MIKHAEL: I don't know what are you trying to prove exactly. But i will tell you few information: 1-Before independence from France Lebanon was a part of a Geographical and historical lands called Syria.( I am not trying to claim the right of what so called now "Syrian Arab Republic" to reclaim Lebanon) but from historian point of view, what was from the lands of nowadays " Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Iraq, and southern Turkey" is called Syrian , referring to the Geographical Syria. 2- if there was no Orthodoxy before Constantinople, that means there was no Christianity before Constantinople and that absolutely wrong . Anyway, according to the bible ,the followers of Jesus were first called "Christians" in Antioch (which is a city located in north Geographical Syria "Southern of Turkey now" and was a historical capital of Syria. (think about the names of the Orthodox or catholic patriarchates in this area "Antioch and all east" and where those patriarchates practice their jurisdictions and faith "including Lebanon" ) 3- yes that's right , St Paul and St Peter sailed from Sidon (Lebanese city according to you and the recent borders , and Syrian city located in Lebanon according to any historian) to Tyre ( Turkish city according to you and the recent borders, and Syrian city located in Turkey according to any historian). But never to forget that St.Paul himself was baptized in Damascus (a Syrian city according to you and the recent borders , and a Syrian city located in Syria according to any historian). So any person should has attention and be precise when he is intending to use the term "Syrian" because it may refer to two different meanings .one of the meanings is smaller than the other. however, for me Christianity or Orthodoxy has no nationality, but it happened to start from geographical Syria what ever the number of recent countries this geographical Syria has now. blessings from Syria with both its meanings

برؤيتك ، إغفر خطيّتي عندما جعلني كبريائي أظنُّ اني أفهم ماهو صالح وماهو غير صالح ، فأنا أصغر من ان أحدد ماهو الصلاح ، فأقول الآن كما قال أيوب"نَطقتُ بما لم أفهم لِذا أسئلكَ الآن فتعلمني" ، فكما كلّمت موسى قائلا: "عرفتُكَ بإسمكَ ووجدت ايضاً نعمةً في عينيّ" ، وكلمك داود قائلا "دخولُ كلامكَ ينير ، يُعَقّل الجُهّال ، شهاداتُ الرب صادقة تصيّرُ الجاهل حكيماً ، أمرُ الرب طاهرٌ ينيرُ العينين ، وصايا الرب مستقيمة تُفرحُ القلب" ، فرّح قلوبنا وأنِرنا وغيّرنا ، وأفتح قلوبنا لدخول كلمتك المقدسة لكي تسكن فينا بغِنى فتعمّق الحق في داخلنا ، تحمينا من الأكاذيب ، تشفينا من الأمراض الروحية ، وتخلقُ فينا علاقة روحية صحيحة بك ، إغفر خطيتي ، فأنت لم تخلقني لأكون شيئاً تافهاً بل لأكون شيئاً عظيماً وأحققُ وجوداً عظيماً لأعمال سبق وأعددتها لي لكي اعملها لكي امثلك وأحمل حضورك فانت خلقتني على صورتك كشبهك لأمثلك في الارض فأعطني ياسيد من ماء الحياة لاشرب لكي تجري من بطني أنهار ماء حي لأكون إنعكاسأ لك وعلمني ان اشبع وأكتفي بك في يوم الغيم والضباب او في يوم الشمس المشرقة ، عندما تعطيني انت صالح ، وعندما تسمح ان يضيع مني انت صالح انت لست مصدر الأذى والضيق انت لست مصدر الشر الذي يصيبنا انت صالح ..في وقت ظلمتي وأذيتي وألمي اتمسك بك اكثر واقترب منك اكثر ايها الإله الصالح وأؤمن انك تجعل الاشياء تعمل معاً لخير الذين يحبونك ، الذين هم مدعوون حسب قصدك ، هذا وعدك لي ايها الصالح ، خبئني فيك وإغفر خطيتي وإجعلني لا أهتم بغيرك ، انت خيري ياسيدي ولا شئ غيرك ، يارب ان هذا يوم طويل ، وان لك مقاصد صالحة في حياتي ، وبداخلي جسد سيحاول جاهداً أن يعطل كل شيء صالح ، فأعنّي يارب ، أعنّي يارب ، إفتح عينيّ لكي أرى يارب ، أرى جمالك فلا أُغْوى ولا يغويني الجسد ببريق في هذا العالم ، أفتح أذني يارب لكي أسمع همسات روحك المشجّعة فلا أنهارُ تحت ثِقَل فكرة مخيفة يأتي لي بها العدو أو الجسد ، أحفظ لساني يارب لكي لا تخرج كلمة رديئة من فمي تُحزن روحك القدوس الساكن فيَّ ، يارب أعرفُ ان هناك أعمال صالحة سبقَ واعددتها لي ، يارب أعرف ان هناك خطة بديعة أنْ سلكتُ فيها ستعمل بي أشياء مباركة لمجدِ إسمِكَ ، يارب اعرف ان هناك أفراح عميقة ينبغي ان تغمُر قلبي وحياتي واعرف ان الافكار التي انت مُفتكرٌ بها عليّ افكار سلام ، وان هناك أمورٌ صالحةٌ وعظيمةٌ من نحوي ، اعرف يارب ان في قلبك الخير الكثير من نحوي ، اعرف هذا ، لكن اعرف ايضاً يارب ان بداخلي جسدٌ بغيض سيقاوم للنفس الأخير مشروعك العظيم في حياتي ، آتي اليك في الصباح يارب أستنجد بك ضد الجسد الذي فيّ ، جئت لك طالباً حفظك وحمايتك ، انا لست لذاتي ، ليس لي شيء هنا ، انا محارب وخارج للحرب ، لا اريد الجسد ان يعطلني ، إمتلكني ، إحفظ لساني ، إفتح اذنيّ ، إفتح عينيّ ، لا أريد ان أخلد ليلاً الى فراشي متضايقاً وانا اشعر اني خسرت الجولة مع الجسد ، أريدُ ان أبقى طوالَ اليوم رافعٌ الراية ، الربّ رايتي. يا إلهي كم يحلو لي ان أعرفكَ أكثر ، قال عنك يسوع "أبي يعمل حتى الآن وأنا اعمل" لقد استرحت من عمل الخلق لكن ماخلقت قد فسد بسقوط الانسان وها انت اليوم تعمل عملَ الفداء ، قطعت العهد ان تفدي وارسلت ابنك الحبيب ان يموت على الصليب وأمرتنا ان نشترك معك في عملك وها أنا ذا أدخلُ معك في العهد الجديد لكي استطيع ان ادخل الى راحتك ، إغفر خطيّتي لأني لطالما تمركزتُ حول ذاتي وخلقتُ عالماً أنا مركزهُ بحثتُ فيه عن راحتي ، وأعود إليكَ اليوم لأراك مركز خليقتك والراحة هي راحتك ، إجذبني إليك وأدخلني الى العهد معك ، اربطني بك ودعني اتعب معك لكي استحق الدخول الى راحتك ، أُحارب ، أتكلم ولا أسكت ، اخدم ولا اكلّ ، اتعب واشقى في خطتك كي استمتع براحتك يا الله ، راحة المصلوب على الخشبة أتمتع بالخدمة معك لكي اقول معك بعد حين "قد أُكمل" أدخلني الى راحتك لكي أفهم الحياة الصحيحة واعمل مشيئتك المرضية عِندك لكي أُصلّي وأغني وأقول "مُكتئبين لكن غير مُتضايقين ، مُتحيرين لكن غير يائسين" اريد ان اصلي في تعبي لكي اقول " كفقراء ونحن نُغني كثيرين" "لا شئ لنا ونحن نملكُ كلّ شئ" الراحة ان احبك اكثر وابكي معك اكثر ، الراحة الحقيقية ان احمل صليبي واتبعك ، الراحة الحقيقية ان اخدمك يا الله حتى وان كان نهايتي ان اسجن او اقتل ، هي الراحة طالما انها معك ،أيها الكاهن يا شفيعي يا يسوع احتاجك معي ان تقول لي بأنك تعلم ضعفي ووجعي يا من عانيت الإحتقار والمسمار على الصليب ، انت تعرفُ وجع النفس والجسد لكنك اليوم تلمعُ بالمجدِ على العرش ، لتشفع فيَّ ، مُدَّ يدك الحنونة القديرة وإلمس وجعي وإرفعني ، ألبسني حذائاً جديداً يجعلُني أطَأُ الأشواك ولا أخاف ، منطِقني فلا أهتزُّ في سيري ، يا يسوع يا أبن الله أتقدم الآن الى عرشِ النعمة الذي لم يعد له باب او حجاب لأُطالِب بحقّي في ان أنالَ نعمةً عوناً في حينه ،الى من يارب نذهب وكلام الحياة الابدية عندك" ؟ بِكَ أحيا وأتحركُ وأُوجدُ ، وبدونك لا الحياةُ حياة ولا أنا أنسان ، بك ياسيدي أُثمرُ وأنفعُ وأكتملُ وأشبعُ ، أعيشُ أنا سعيداً ويسعدُ البشرُ من حولي من ثمري وخيري وفوق الكلّ أنت تسعدُ بما خلقت لأنك ترى صورتك فيَّ ، تمنحني في كل لحظة حياةً ورحمة "، عندما تتأزّمُ اموري ارفع عينيّ إليك فمعونتي تأتي من عندك ، وإذا شعرتُ بالحرب تشتد عليّ فأنت حِصني وملجأي ، عندما ينتابني الخوفُ انت أماني ، عندما تجتاحني رياحُ الشهوة أهربُ اليك ، عندما أشعرُ بالجهل وبالحيرة أنت Dear sister, if you are a non catholic then you can approach a Melkite priest and ask him on the process. If you are already a member of any of the Catholic churches then you can still approach the Melkite priest but in this case you must understand that this is only a once in life time option and you must show understanding and love for the customs and pratices of the Church you want to move into (in this case the Holy Melkite Catholic Church)

Are you a Catholic Christian ? You should follow Orthodox Christianity as their history is much more accurate. Roman Catholic is only 1000 years old. Orthodox is 2000 years old and still in tradition.

@saintsknightscom I understand you're sentiment, but what you said clearly goes against at least the Orthodox Church's stance. If it didn't matter, then we would not be in schism. If it didn't matter, Catholics would be allowed to commune in our churches and we would allow the Orthodox laity to commune in Catholic churches. That isn't to say we shouldn't try to mend the schism, we should, so long as the Truth is upheld.
