Honestly this was a fitting ending to me. It shows thart you can make wrong choices (as in making a suicidal kid a god...) and the kid kept his word and went through with it. Nothing was left unsaid or at random, everything (or almost) was explained, there's no winner but at the same time, Nakaumi won. All he wanted was to kill himself and allow people to do the same if they so wanted, while the others basically had no real reason (The girl that just wanted to be beautiful and rich, the two main protagonists just wanting a normal life...) What I liked about this anime was that it's unpredictable. You start the anime thinking you know who is the enemy, and then it shifts to no enemies at all, and then back to another enemy that in the end, wasn't really an enemy because he understood the true nature of the god selection thing. So even if this felt a bit rushed, I still find it fitting. It just shows that humanity's foolishness can also compromise heavenly beings, and that everything can end just like that, in the blink of an eye.

I only read the manga so I didn't see the anime, but from what I read, he never intended to kill himself as God. He simply felt powerless as God in that he could not help people. That was when he came to the conclusion that him being God made no difference so there was no point in him living at all. He had no idea that his death would end the universe though. Had he known, he would not have gone through with it. That's a good message to those who think about committing suicide. You think your life does not matter and it is only when you're gone that you see the true affect your life had on others.

I love the manga the story was amazing it was like reliving mirai nikki or future diary where they hold a death game to become the god of time but in this story they just generally compete to become "the" god, the ending was neither poetic or good to some, it was abrupt just like the ending for death note which also had the same author, in fact Im convinced the author didn't want their manga to have a good/satisfying ending and is supposed to irritate us because in the end it was all pointless, wether it was the quest to become a killer god in death note or a god that rules heaven in this anime its all fruitless journeys because to simply put man cannot become god and perhaps that is okay but to us the general viewers with no philosophical outlooks at the same level as the author we simply cannot comprehend why and thus we are left frustrated, but I do hope the next story the author of the manga comes up will be more gratified because they are talented I love the art, the story, and the direction but they just had to give it a "bad" or at least unsatisfying ending because I do want them to receive recognition

Nasse didn't take a part of God. Nasse's special because she's a physical angel. In Platinum End's universe, angels are metaphysical, but Nasse was made when a bacteria scrapped God's body, so Nasse is a quite literally physical angel. Why can't she be seen by non-God candidates when she's supposedly a physical entity, blame that on Ohba being kind of a mid writer sometimes.

I'm okay with this ending cuz atleast i got to see Mirai enjoy his life cuz he deserved it, but i would've preferred it if there would've been a way for Nakaumi get separated from god via Nasse because she's "special" and can grab people so if she "grabbed and separated" Nakaumi before his complete fusion but then right as he's being separated he stabs the "creature" with a white arrow so now there's no god and his power gets distributed among the angels but Nasse becomes the most powerful cuz according to her backstory she had some god cells in her or something making her special so I'd prefer her having more power. Then she could separate the world from evil (basically create 2 worlds that are connected via a singular portal) doing this makes everyone on the "good" side happy and the ones on the "bad" side spiteful as to why they're being treated like that. Then the angel of destruction makes pacts with the people from the "bad" side and gives them powers n shit and then all this leads to a season 2. I like the ending but I just wanted to write a story so hope you enjoyed it💀

SPOILER WARNING: The ending in this anime was philosophically so interesting, if no one is alive, no one can feel unhappy or want to kill themselves, also if life is finite then every moment counts. It forces everyone to make the most of it in the time given. But holy shit, emotionally and on a human level, the worst possible outcome. Giving a suicidal kid the power of God would be against everything Humans represent. We are the only animal on this planet who want to continually overcome themselves, improve and grow through experience and connection with others. On the way, many will feel unimaginable despair and loneliness while few maybe non will really have everything they want all the time and maybe if Humanity was to evolve forever, we may become God ourselves and all further striving becomes meaningless, but the point is not the destination but the path we travel on with whomever we chose or not chose to be together. God prematurely ending it all is the biggest finger to all of life that could possibly happen. Mirai Kakehashi becoming God would probably not have been a literal paradise but he would have steered humanity in the direction of true eternal love and happiness for as many people as possible. in the end such a waste but plausible I guess.

The whole anime was mid until the professor appeared, it took a really philosophical turn. Unpopular opinion : the ending was awesome ! It was really original. I’m just a little confused, after it ended there are some superior and immortal beings saying humans will never be able to kill them, and that they should seek their own creator instead of trying to create a new God… Did they create God and humanity to make them kill them ?
