It took me over a decade to get back on my feet after my son’s father and I completely split after 7 years of on/off … my life came tumbling down and I lost everything. My business, my home, car then my boys moved w dad full time because I was basically homeless. I finally got an apartment a little over a year ago and I got my youngest son back full time. It was then that I realized the demise of my life was absolutely the result of an extremely narcissistic relationship! I really thought I was going to have their baby, but if they can't treat me right in 13+ years, a baby sure isn't going to fix anything. I'm pretty heartbroken and betrayed but at least I woke up to just how self-serving they really were all this time.
