Your hearts open to God that's a great first step in 2025 we gotta let God be God truly in all areas of our lives we gotta be doers of His word and let go of a lot of things it's not easy but it's not impossible we need to get into prayer and reading His word to let Him be our strength so we resist temptation surrendering to Him knowing we can't do it on our own strength and having our words/actions meet His word and will for our lives. Deny your flesh daily that's what God wants whether it's video games, pot or anything else take steps to let those things die because God's work is beyond important it's not just our lives but dozes, hundreds, thousands, even millions of others connected to us it's worth it let God be your everything

@Tuh2i amen it definitely can brother in Christ I myself struggled A LOT with drinking and smoking for years I stopped one but kept the other on my own strength I could never stop both. The past 3 years God changed me a lot I use to do nothing but smoke wax carts/pot and drink I was in a state of depression I was drinking 5 tall cans a day two of which were dos locos 14% volume and a half pint of cheap vodka with it I didn't just want a buzz I wanted to be numn and forget about the world I ate and played video games until I heard the birds and I couldn't do it on my own. I finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired I looked in the mirror and said "I need help" I cried out to God and let Him know I couldn't do it without Him I need your help. He helped me I haven't drank or smoked in over a year and I thank God for that. Idk exactly how you feel but I do know God does and He sees your heart that you want to serve Him in your own words let Him know you need His help and He will help you that desire will fade and your love for Him will grow deeper and deeper and that's what it's all about "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind and with all thy strength this is the first commandment. And the second is like namely this thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:30-31 we gotta put God first above all and also remember our family our friends are counting on us to do God's work imagine them at times if we don't do our part the advesary will do his but God is stronger and will give us the strength to do what's right

@@Tuh2iHey! God knows your heart and He’s willing to help you change but it’s all up to you (I know you understand this but I have to clarify)! And yes God loves you, always but now it’s time to get up and make that change! But my best advice, (just in case you’re wondering) try going on a fast and listen for His voice. Just as the video says, focus on God. Put down the weed, the games and other distractions and put God first, more than just saying it - do it. And I’m not beating you down or at least I’m not trying to because I’m not perfect but God is perfecting those things that concern me. I just want to encourage you to get into your word and follow God, you never know where it can take you! Hope this helps! :)

I hear you around Black Friday I decided to buy 2k25 since it was on sale and I noticed my self spending too much time on the game when I could’ve been praying instead or listening to educational videos that will draw me closer to god.
