Just what I needed to start tweaking up my lightning mage. The class overall definitely needs a boost compared to runemaster and spellblade but it's still a fun build and style to play. Thanks!

Sorc was my first character when 1.0 launched. I made a static orb one. Very awesome. I don't have any interests in RM. Spellblade I do though. I'll wait for a buff for Sorc.

Same, went Static Orb on launch and quite enjoyed it even though it clearly still needs improvement. Let's see how it goes. Spellblade is also something I want to try but RM style is not that much for me either.

why do this build have a focus on cast speed? it increase the damage that much? because lightning blast is already a fast spell. I'll use it so i would like to understand more the build. Nice job

Bro. Lightning blast cost zero mana so the more cast speed you have the more DPS you can dish out. Above 1000 corruption, cast speed becomes essential.

game favors attack speed and cast speed over big chonky hits, unless it is a specific scaling interaction like ignite scaling on glyph of dominion

Thanks mate, the reason why I focus on cast speed is because Spark charges have a 40% to proc on hit. So more hits means more spark charges. Also, it looks cool

Your Loot Filter has verbiage on it that it's a midgame filter, do you have an up-to-date Endgame filter by chance?

Not really for endgame Exalted filtering but you can use the wanted affixes and just tweak the tiers to 6+

Runemaster requires you to play other elemental spells, sorcerer does not. That's about it

Yeah only if you've specced into the skill tree.
