Hades is probably the most incompetent villain ever , he controls everything in the Underworld , he knew Kratos was weak before this point and he did not attacked him or retrieved the blade of olimpus, Zeus was probably like wtf man do your job

I liked it better in GOW 1 when the blade of olympus was a sub-weapon, so you didnt need to use rage to use it.
