He meant that in a different angle, Mimir may have only hear them speak ancient greek. Because Kratos and Athena are from Greece. They would've most likely used their mother tongue. But the reason why they only speak English in the game is so that players can understand. After the events of Hel, It was implied that Mimir only heard "Athena" spoken by Kratos on the boat ride. He never said he heard anything else. What the comment said wasn't literal. But more like what it potentially was in hindsight.

@@MrBrandonStar GOW 1 was all about kratos unshackling himself from ares and the sins he committed because of his servitude, the acts that turned him into a rage filled monster, but in the end he was a slave none the less. He served the gods for years trying to be rid of his past and his final endeavour was to stop ares from destroying athens, the city of athena. In all these years, the gods were slowly grooming him to serve them eternally as seen in the psp games, they were constantly helping him because they needed him to succeed. they made him a god because they valued him as a personal killing machine, even in gow2-3 when kratos seemed to be rid of the influence of the gods, he was being used by the titans in gow2 and athena managed in the end to make him serve her wants in gow3. But, finally, thanks to pandora and ironically athena's power of hope, the power of gods, a power to kill a god, he managed to break his chains, he was not a slave of his past nor any other deity, he was the master of himself. He realised the past is a part of him and he can only move forward. The exchange between him and athena in "gow 2018" signify that perfectly, kratos is the monster that the gods made him, but he is their monster no longer.

Well unlike in Marvel, Thor’s hammer has a stipulation to it that isn’t so idealistic. It isn’t that you need to be worthy enough to have the hammer. It’s just that the Hammer is so ridiculously powerful that you need to be Thor or someone of his caliber to even use the thing.... so yeah Kratos will probably have it.

Chances are that perhaps half way through the next game (if and when there is another game) we could see a good chance that Thor might get axed off (no pun intended) by Kratos and the Hammer could very well deem Kratos worthy depending on what happens. Not only are they iconic, but they are reintroduced to Kratos in a genius way. He cast aside the agents of vengeance, but reclaimed them for the sake of his family. That is what I love about this story; you feel what Kratos goes through, form a connection with him in ways that his days as a spartan never could. This scene is a reminder that, yes, this is the same Kratos who knew little else but rage.

The music and atmosphere is so epic. Reminding players of just how op kratos is from the land of gods he is from. Greek gods are true gods so making one appear in kratos mind in norse lands is simply incredible. Then to add his blades showing up on top of it all just wow good job cory

By the gods... I truly love this game. This older kratos is such a good turn for the character. And the fact that Christopher judge voices him is amazing. He did great. I just pray they dont kill him off or replace him in the sequel(s?)

Now that's what I'm talking about the blades of chaos my favorite primary weapon when I first saw the game and thought it didn't have that God of war feel to til the moment them blades came in and that changed everything I said and thought. Them blades is what made God of war one of the greats franchises in gaming history. Now I got to invest in getting a PS4 just to play GOW all over. Love this game still.

This always reminds of the Clint Eastwood movie Unforgiven. A gunfighter who lived a violent past and gave it all up to be a dad. Is forced to bring out his weapons again.

Just wanted to point out a really subtle detail that I thought was a really cool addition. When Kratos is riding in the boat, you can see the deer grazing on the riverbank that run away when they look up and see Kratos. Even though he is on the river in the boat and no threat to them. A subtle detail alluding to him still being a monster, almost as if they know and can sense he is.

Once I saw the blades I felt completely shocked. How did I forget about them!! How did I not even guess they'd return. Such a great moment that brings the Greek and Norse world's together. Kratos has a weapon from both. One from his new family and the weapon that killed his previous family
