Orkos, the only one in the entire Greek Pantheon of God of War who genuinely didn't want to mess with Kratos and actually help him. Truly was a selfless guy up to the very end. It's a shame that he had to be killed basically by his Uncle

The craziest thing is he is one of if not the only person in the Greek Era kratos did not want to kill for his own benefit he did it extremely reluctantly and only because it was the only way to free the both of them. It shows how much Kratos truly cared and respected Orkos.

He put so much more strength and power into that line than in the original God of War (2005) version. While the original version had a sense of sadness and weakness to it, I feel this one is better. This is due to the fact that, in the moment, he was asking for ultimate power from Ares out of desperation to defeat the enemy that's about to kill him. I think it's better for him to yell his heart out, getting louder as he finishes his offer/plead, rather than say it in a tone that lowers progressively.

He was, he didn't know that Kratos would become the GOW, but Orkos had two more reasons to distrust Ares , first Ares wanted to dethrone Zeus to reign over Olympus, kratos just wanted to kill the guy, second Orkos didn't like how they tricked Kratos into Ares' control.

Orkos is the ONLY true friend and ally Kratos has ever had who truly wanted to help Kratos wuthout eventually using him for a personal agenda later on like the rest had done (Ares,Athena and Gaia). I don't feel or trust Faye either , she gives a whole another Gaia vibes , with the whole Olympians/Asgardian bad, Titans/Giants good, i feel like Kratos has been getting manipulated all over again, Faye might've loved her man and child for real, but there's no denying of the planning and how manipulative she was.

To be fair, Faye is a Jotunn goddess who can see into the future. It's hard not to come off as manipulative.

But... But, faye is dead. And the other giants is dead also. Itis only prophet about dead of kratos and fall of asgard in ragnarok prophecy left. And also, faye hid herself and kratos in the wood without even their neighbor (freya) know about it. Then after faye is dead, and the spell has been broken, odin send baldur to come after faye. That also meaning, faye protecting kratos and change him, remember kratos words at athena illusions, "im still a monster, but im your monster no longer", that i assumed is because of faye. Faye forget the past about giant massacre by odin, didnt reveal her past, didnt care about kratos past (bcs kratos said that faye is know kratos is a god from olympus).

Your mistrust in Faye is warranted as it definitely appears she used Kratos to further her own agenda and bring down the Norse pantheon. That said though, I wouldn't be surprised if she also saved him from the hellscape that was Greece after the events of GoW3. She does seem to know the past and future and is well versed in prophecy so I wouldn't be at all surprised if she was somehow involved in all the events of his life to bring him to the very moment he met her which set Ragnorak into motion.

I ve played all the GOW games several times except Ragnarok (although i ve pretty much seen all the cutscenes, thx youtubers) and i dont remenber kratos giving a so truly and friendly greeting to someone, he really considered Orkos a trustworthy ally one that went against his own kin in the face of injustice to help someone.

Let’s be real Orkos is the underrated MVP of the God of War franchise. Not only was he by far one of the very few people in the Greek pantheon who is a genuinely good person without any ulterior motives but if it weren’t for him 90% of the stuff in the series wouldn’t have happened. He freed Kratos from his bond with Ares allowing him to take vengeance upon him. Yes Kratos ended up committing, just as many atrocities if not more but it ultimately led to his well-deserved redemption. It’s a shame. He is one of the few people that Kratos never mentions in the Norse Era.

​@@TheMysteriouswatcher ​ Then you have not have seen part of Kratos where he has shown different emotions, up to date Carson voice of kratos is legendary, he did a phenomenal angry kratos but emotional at the same time, his voice when he meets his wife, although it was gaia who imitates her, or when he meets his daughter, or when he tells Pandora Zeus can't hurt Hephaestus, his voice was always on point and great in every scene. People say Carson can't pull calm kratos, but I can bet on it that he will do a really beautiful job to present old kratos. People have ignored original Kratos emotional range of scenes if they don't know this
