Probably due to the engines and the amount of programming needed to remaster the PS2 and PSP games. I could be wrong so please correct me if I'm wrong. As for Ascension, I couldn't tell you. I honestly believe that Ascension should have been made for the PS4. That game would have benefited with the added power from the PS4. Ascension was fine but it had a hard time running on the PS3 which always baffled me on why it never was never released on the PS4.

@@po801_4 A lot of other games could of used the PS4 treatment. MGS4, Killzone trilogy, Resistance trilogy, and Infamous duology with Festival of Blood included.

The visual bug you encountered in the Gaia part is also present on the base and slim PS4 as well, not just the PS4 Pro. Disabling Boost mode has little effect. The problem stems from the fact there's an issue with the game loading that area when you first come into it, probably a bug related to the way the PS4 streams the data that's incompatible with the GoW3 engine. A way ro "resolve" this is by using a save point in that area, restart the game and then load it. Still, it's an issue that shouldn't have been there in the first place. What's even worse is the fact they NEVER fixed this, even after patching the game.

My friend gave me his copy of God Of War 3 on PS3 for free because he couldn't hack it haha. He got the remastered version years later and finally completed it haha

The combat and gore are extremely satisfying, but I was really disappointed the final 1/3rd of the game had you backtracking through levels you already played. I think this is why they got rid of NG+ IIRC.

I'm not a fan of the QTE's.. Still an enjoyable game that looks great on the PS5. -- In the most recent GoW title I feel there was too much walking/downtime.. Also a lack of enemy variety. I had some issues with a handful of other things.. but one thing there wasn't, was an over abundance of QTE's. I haven't finished GoW 3 Remastered yet, but I've already experienced too many QTE's.. I wish this title offered more UI and settings options to adjust. I was very surprised seeing a Photo Mode, but that's really where it ended. -- This was a decent review. Right to the point, and not overly long. Respecting the viewers time is key, even though KZbin started rewarding extended watch time.. I know that's not easy for some people to work around.

The visual glitch with the red lines is also on the ps4 slim its not because of the ps4 bost mode. I think its a glitch on the digital copy because iv played it on disk and its not there.

You must not realize that Sony Interactive Entertainment have a hands off approach while giving their studios creative freedom when developing gaming projects, in this case it was Santa Monica Studio that reimagined God Of War the way they did not Sony

God Of War 3 its the Last Of Us 2 of the franchise. Stunning graphics and amazing gameplay, but when we enter the story almost every character is stupid and/or sociopath - leading to an absolute chaos for entirely convenient plot reasons. In the end only the void reigns...

Or the hundreds of Greek tragedies or actual Greek myths where humans are nothing but play things for the asshole gods.Don't know what you expect of Kratos either since the character was famous for being a brutish death machine from the very beginning. Socrates he is not.
