The one things I absolutely love about this fight is even though in ragnarok there is higher stakes, this fight just feels so grand. - The buildup from your last encounters - Fighting on top a giant - Pushing that giant away - Witnessing the side effects of your battle - That final beatdown - Calling in the World Serpeant at the end - The most epic soundtrack in the norse saga All these things just make the fight feel special and powerful, something the ragnarok bosses have failed to accomplish to this degree.

Ray Dhimitri shows that they are playing on very hard in the options menu. A mode that the game itself says cannot be changed unless you start a brand new save. If after seeing Rays options menu doesn’t convince you then I guess nothing will and it’s more of a YOU problem at that point.

In the stories, Baldur is the most beloved of the gods of Asgard, and when he does he goes to Hel, where the Goddess Hel gives him a place of high honor in her court. Where he ends up after this fight is anyone’s guess.

If you return to Freya's house after completing the story, Mimir explains, that Freya only reanimated him. He is incapable of feeling something. If she did the same to Baldur, it would just have set him back to square one. Something Freya didn't want to do

If your playing for give me god of war use strength builds I have 192 strength during this fight snd enchants that Boost axe throw and burn n frost dmg and use blessing of front runic u do insane dmg and it last 10 sec fully upgraded and it stacks with axe throw dmg

Good work Ray. Emotional powerful fight, mechanically poor fight all around. Baldur only had a few cosmetic differences and Freya just through in some bullshit that added nothing to it apart from some mob enemies and environmental fuckery that was impossible to avoid and did no damage. It's a shame that more wasn't done with the mistletoe like have a mechanic where you can only damage Baldur when he's been hit with enough mistletoe that put him into a damageable state. Also, they could have given him some new moves and abilities or at least make swapping between axe and blades important. For a final boss it did a poor job of forcing the player to maximize the mechanics and knowledge to win. ironically I felt this was done better in chains of olympus, using the thunder fist, projectile parrying, dodging and combo damage and weapon switching were really important for dealing with Persephone and tested your familiarity with the weapons you had picked up in order to defeat her.
