I don't even think it's Brok's death that destroyed Sindri, it's the fact that due to him missing the final part of his soul he will never rest in the Afterlife. Even in death Sindri will never be reunited with him, due to the love he had for his brother in the past, he doomed him for eternity.

hell of a game. it was 100 percent worth the wait. I really thought they were gonna kill kratos in this one, but the ending is fitting. A couple of scenes throughout the game that really catch you off guard with just how heartfelt they are

This two games are an amazing soft reboot for the series. Kratos post GOWI characterization saw his flaws pointed out but nothing was done with them, it's just a case "He's awful, we know it, now keep playing the game." These games have acknowledged all of the flaws he had, gradually showed how hard it is for him to change even though he wants to, and fully develops into a better person who does some real good by the end.

I would say, the build up of the ragnarok event are better than the war itself. It was good, but i was expecting more ngl. It feels like it's just your regular war, unlike the second Titanomachia in GOW3. Still, this is a beautiful story overall. I love that Kraros had finally move on from a destroyer to a protector

I would have loved to see Thor have a true redemption arc. Mirroring how Faye help Kratos. Odin was a true piece of excrement. I've seen parents treat their children like straight garbage but the grandkids are always something special. To see Odin not care about his kids or grandkids, solidified for me that he was definitely a villain 100%

I just love how Kratos gets to be a stoic but nuturing father, when he was denied that chance with his first wife and his daughter Calliope. It is funny how ragnarok shows how Kratos' arc is ever evolving and now with his son he is regaining his sense of humanity.

Freyr. Out of every single god or person who has held power in this tale of God of war. Man his soul resonates with mine, even the love between him and his sister. That's one GOD who doesn't give a shit about power, wealth, and destiny. Makes his own, every second of whatever life he has at the moment. While being kind, loving, and supportive of everyone around him but especially puts emphasis on family or what's left of family to the highest tier of whats important to him. I love this character, I love what he stands for. And I love the juxtaposition of him being a god compared to the other gods we've seen in the game. Love it. This story writing. It's just out of this world.

Everytime I watch this or the Post Game Video, Brok's Viking Funeral, instantly makes me cry as if I personal lost him. The music, the voice acting, the visuals elements, digital character movements, and that tonal shift at the end, validate why this game was nominated for Game of the Year. In my eyes it should have won mainly because not everybody is going to want to play any From Software game (not taking anything away from how great that game was BTW) but honestly God of war was God-Tier level, and a strong example of what great games should be.

That was a helluva ride. This game was an emotional roller coaster and I loved it. I wish I could play it but no ps5. Still, I will when it releases on PC in the...distant future. I saw people complaining about the story and though it's not perfect I don't think they botched the characterization. Some may not like Kratos being vulnerable (because that's what a lot of the naysaying is about) and I guess I get it given the history of the character up to GoW3 but the writing for GoW2018 and GoWR is good. His son is his weakness in the same way his wife and daughter were in their tragic tale. I think if they lived he'd be the Kratos we see in this game, maybe softer. Anyway, I'm glad Kratos can live and have a happy ending after suffering so much. I would've been livid if he died because of a prophecy.
