I'm like 8 hours in this game. I unlocked all of mine in the training room. Other than the tier 3 skills, I haven't got those yet, but I did max out all the skills for each weapon. Great video. This game is absolutely amazing. I love it more than 2018 god of war.

If u purchased the digital deluxe edition I recommend using the axe grip for it and farm the little creatures that are one shot with frost awakens. The grips let u reuse frost awaken after u kill an enemy so u can easily farm ranking frost awaken skills

Great video. The only gripe I’ve had with this game so far is the amount of xp you can get so early in the game. you have so many skills available to use, it often becomes easy to forget how to use or forget you even have them. I usually find myself holding back on using all my xp at once just so I can actually learn them lol

Honestly that's a great idea. I've spent a bit of time in the Sparring arena to just to learn the skills and the flow of combat.

Early game the best way I've seen to complete the moves required to get to gold is do not destroy the wretch nest and just keep killing them until it no longer spits out anymore. I've been able to kill 20 or 30 of the things before the game stops giving them to you. So you get more experience points and you can finish off some weapon moves. And the enemies are in no real danger of killing you because they're basically one or two hits to kill depending on the move

Hyperion grapple causes alot of stagger damage and makes it easier to instakill (R3). Upgraded fully and its usually two hits for full stagger. Really handy early on.

I found a way to farm in muspelhiem. Still have to grind, but don't need to worry about getting hit by other creatures

The single best way to farm mod tokens for skills is the ogre that gets taken by the dragon in vanaheim. Don't press R3 once it gets stunned because it'll never die or come out of stun so it's literally a free opportunity to unlock every mod token. This is especially good for those hard to do skills like the 5-7 hit combos

When you fight nidhog or whatever with freya you can literally farm all of them when you stun him

Loving the game but is it just me or are the armors sets mostly bad in this game? I've stuck with the niddavelir set since I've gotten it and all the others just have cool downs and whatnot

There are some really good armors later in the game. The mid game feels a bit lacking for sure.

What about the mod tokens? I don’t understand what “momentum” is really and I can assume “element” means now how much the area is affected?

Momentum charges your permafrost, immolation, or malestrom gauge faster. If u select it as a mod when u use that move you will gain more charge than normal. Element is frost or burn, it increases the amount applied for that move

The blades abilities are definitely not secondary plus the evading attacks are fundamental for maintaining enemies airborne. I guess that if you play the game at a normal difficulty and not at gmgow you can r1/ throw your axe spam and still be good.

What I mean by secondary is that you should prioritize the axe skills in the beginning, not that they suck.

Immolation is a skill. It's activated if you avoid taking damage for a period of time.

Immolation is when your blades heat up after landing consecutive hits and not getting hit as well. The “meter” that tells you is the circle on the bottom left, watch as it fills up with every hit you do. Same with the axe. Eventually you get an ability at lvl 3 or 4 where you can press L1+Triangle once you have enough immolation it makes all your blade hits explode on contact

@@TheVDaddyo momentum is what you build up to get immolation. Every attack you do builds momentum. If your using your axe every hit you do builds up momentum till you get that circular meter next to your health bar filled up. Then you can hit L1+TRIANGLE to activate that frost thing. Same thing for the blades or spear. So when you upgrade your momentum skill for a specific attack, that means that every time you use that specific attack you will build up a bit more momentum compared to if you didn’t have that upgrade. All it does is help you fill that gauge faster so you can activate the L1+TRIANGLE ability
