To power up. Hold for axe. Mash for the blades! Holding for blades still works but its much slower. Mashing is super fast. For axe, only holding works:

Blades of Chaos require the triangle button to be mashed to power up. Hold triangle to power up the axe.

you can use accesibility options to make it so you only need to hold the button on the blades as well. Mashig is just too annoying.

Axe you hold triangle to charge, the chaos blades you repeatedly tap triangle to very quickly charge for their element. Parry is extremely OP in this game.

I’m sorry, but how is no one noticing that there’s no skill tree for your fists?? You can’t do fist combos no more, you just have one combo.

I was pissed about that, I feel let down on this game it feels like DLC and then the took away fist and shield attack's

@@unrhu I know dude, I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s still a good game, but everyone is saying “it’s everything I hoped for and more” yea this game just feels like a really good DLC.. and you still have allot of the same R3 finishers, especially with common enemies, I mean there’s only like 2 different ones for each weapon until you do finishers on the bigger guys, even then the finishers are the same amongst those bigger guys, like those guys who spawn the annoying tadpoles, I killed like 3 different ones and Kratos did the same exact finisher each time, it’d be nice if they added a wide variation of finishers so each one surprises you.. and yea no fist combos no more, it’s just button mashing when you pull out your fists. People are Overrating this game if you ask me, it’s still great.. but if you ask me I hoped for more, and expected more to be quite blunt.

The chaos blades you tap triangle don't hold it, it charges much much faster tapping it.

yeah "the leviathan axe is better for single enemies" is the dialogue line of someone who still hasn't tried to short stance of the blades of chaos especially if you combine it with realms shift techniques nothing in both games comes even close to that damage
